Summoning potion detail.png

A Summoning potion restores a player's Summoning points, much like a prayer potion restores one's Prayer points. It can be made at level 40 Herblore by using a clean spirit weed on a vial of water and then adding a cockatrice egg. This gives 92 Herblore experience. As with prayer potions, this potion only restores points; it will not add points above the user's level. It restores 72 to 317 Summoning points (70 + 25% of total Summoning points) and 15 Summoning spell points per dose.

Uses[edit | edit source]

Summoning potions are generally used when training slayer to allow players to remain at a task's location for a longer period of time. This is particularly useful for the bunyip, unicorn stallion, and other healing familiars, as well as beasts of burden. Summoning potions are also helpful when using a steel titan familiar.

In places where a player constantly uses Winter storage, each additional 3-dose summoning potion would cost 6,436.07 coins.

If players only need Summoning points, super restore potions would be more economic, since these also restore Prayer points and other stats. Using these also saves inventory space.

Flask[edit | edit source]

This potion can be made into a Summoning flask by using at least six doses of it with a Potion flask. Players do not need a specific level to turn potions into flasks. Alternatively, players can bring summoning potions and crystal flasks to Teplin Macagan in Oo'glog. He can decant 1 to 4 dose potion vials into 6-dose potion flasks. Players must have completed the quest As a First Resort in order to bring him to Oo'glog.
