Spined chaps are a member's only piece of Fremennik armour. They are primarily worn by rangers as part of the Spined armour set and have similar stats to green dragonhide chaps, except with a higher defence rating. To wear spined chaps the player must have completed the quest The Fremennik Trials and have at least 50 Defence. To obtain spined chaps either bring 2 dagannoth hides, 1 stretched hide, and 7500 coins to Sigli the Huntsman in Rellekka, or trade with another player.

It can be upgraded into superior spined chaps using a fremennik equipment patch.
