Spendthrift is an Invention perk that has a chance to deal extra damage, but at the cost of consuming coins. It can be created in weapon gizmos.

Spendthrift is much weaker than other damage increasing perks like Precise and Crackling. The exact effects of spendthrift are difficult to calculate as damage is not evenly distributed; however, rough calculations of its effects can be created if a scenario is created where every attack does the same amount of damage.

For the table below, a rate of 100,000 damage per minute spread across 50 attacks has been used.

Spendthrift does not increase the damage from bleed attacks, such as Dismember. Spendthrift will first take coins from your inventory, and then coin pouch.

When the perk triggers, it prompts the message: Spendthrift has activated and dealt an additional [number] damage, costing that amount in coins too!
