The slimy egg can be obtained while fishing in the Port district or the VIP skilling area of Menaphos. The egg can be inspected to unlock the Squeck pet, one of the requirements for the Gotta catch 'em both! achievement.

Catching a raw beltfish gives a 1/1,000 chance to receive the egg, catching a raw catfish gives a 1/2,000 chance, and catching a raw desert sole gives a 1/3,000 chance.

When a slimy egg is obtained, the player receives the message: While fishing, you find a slimy egg. You place it in your inventory. If the player's inventory is full, it will be sent to the bank. After inspecting the egg, the player receives the message: The egg quivers and cracks open. After Squeck is unlocked, the player receives the message: You have unlocked Squeck, the squid pet. It can be found and summoned from the pet interface.
