A slimy eel is a fish that can be caught at level 28 Fishing, granting 65 Fishing experience per catch. A regular fishing rod and fishing bait are required to catch them. It can be cooked into cooked slimy eel at level 28 Cooking.

Raw slimy eel is used in Land of the Goblins in order to catch a Hemenster whitefish. It may also be used in A Fairy Tale I - Growing Pains as a quest item for magic secateurs. Slimy eel is also an ingredient in eel sushi, a dish enjoyed by the Dorgeshuun cave goblins of Dorgesh-Kaan.

This is one of the few cookable items that have no prefix when uncooked; instead, they have the "cooked" prefix when cooked.
