Skill Tutors are NPCs who give basic information on various skills as well as selling basic supplies for the respective skill. They are marked by an orange or grey-blue icon of their skill above them in the main game screen, and a blue icon of their skill in the world map and the minimap. Most of the Skill Tutors are located within the Burthorpe/Taverley area, however a few are located in other parts of the world.

They previously gave recommended tasks, which were replaced by the Challenge System, and then removed entirely.

Guides[edit | edit source]

While not officially tutors, there are several NPCs that act as guides, giving Players information about certain skills. They are usually marked on the world map by the guide icon (Guide map icon.png). Similar NPCs can also be found in Guilds.

Update history[edit | edit source]

The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
  • patch 2 March 2020 (Update):
    • A "Tell me about the skills menu" dialogue option has been added to all skill tutors.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Many of the skill tutors' surnames refer to the skill they specialise in, such as Oakfeller for Woodcutting, or Beaststalker for Hunting.
  • The merchants of the Arc region are labelled on the world map as skill tutors, though they are not actually tutors.
