Sharrigan is an Ilujanka and descendant of Hannibus.
She is a collector of Dragonkin artefacts originating from the Orthen Dig Site. She can be located near the noticeboard outside the Anachronia Base Camp Town Hall to hand in Archaeology artefacts.
History[edit | edit source]
Life on Iaia[edit | edit source]
Sharrigan was born as a distant descendant of Hannibus, who travelled to Gielinor after Zaros offered to search for a cure to his people's infertility. She grew up on Iaia, homeworld of the Ilujanka, hearing stories of Hannibus and considering him to be a legend.[1] She heard many other stories of her own people, to the point that her village's pastkeeper made Sharrigan her apprentice.
Family reunion[edit | edit source]
Unbeknownst to the Ilujanka, however, Hannibus was still alive, having been transformed into a stone statue during the early Third Age. When he was found by the World Guardian, they began to search for a way to help Hannibus return to Iaia. Their quest led them to Therragorn, last of the white dragons, who had the ability to travel between planes; the duo offered her a new home on Iaia, where she would be safe from dragon hunters, in exchange for taking Hannibus home. Before they could travel to Iaia, however, they were shot down by Kerapac while flying over Daemonheim. Knowing that he would not kill the pair in order to have them help him find a way to free the Dragonkin from their curse, Therragorn travelled to Iaia after using the memories Hannibus had shared with her and searched for Ilujanka who knew of him, hoping to remind him of what he was trying to achieve.[2] Upon learning that her great grandfather was still alive, Sharrigan stepped forward and offered her assistance to the white dragon in order to help Hannibus reunite with his people.[3]
Sharrigan and Therragorn returned to Daemonheim just as Hannibus was leaving, at which point she quickly introduced herself. While Hannibus was surprised to learn he had living relatives, he was even more surprised to learn the Ilujanka were still alive. Much to his dissapointment, however, Sharrigan confirmed that they were still infertile and that their population had continued to decline since he left Iaia thousands of years ago. Nevertheless, Sharrigan reassured Hannibus that the Ilujanka had already made peace with their fate and that they were prepared to face their extinction.[4] Hannibus responded that Kerapac had offered him to search for a cure to the Ilujanka's infertility if he would submit himself as a research specimen for study while in stasis[5], to which both Sharrigan and Therragorn urged him to return home and rest among his people instead. Unable to decide, Hannibus deferred to the World Guardian's choice; regardless of the choice made, Sharrigan and Therragorn returned to Iaia.
Settling in Anachronia[edit | edit source]
Sometime after Hannibus reconnected with his daughter Vindicta, she visited Iaia in order to learn more of her own people. Following her visit to her homeworld, some of the younger Ilujanka decided to travel to Gielinor and attempt to build a new home there. Many of them stopped by Anachronia, since the island's climate, flora and fauna were remarkably similar to those of Iaia. Sharrigan decided to travel with them in order to support them and remind them where they came from.[6] While she was Pastkeeper for the Ilujanka back on Iaia, tasked with retaining her people's culture and thus history, she also became fascinated with the history of the Dragonkin who once lived in Orthen, and became a collector of artefacts originating from the Orthen Dig Site.[7]
Passing the torch[edit | edit source]
When Seren took the eggs of the Elder Gods to Iaia in order to have them hatch there, the World Guardian and their allies immediately began to evacuate all Ilujanka to Gielinor through the World Gate. However, not all of them chose to leave; amongst these was Sharrigan's mentor[8], who instead tasked the World Guardian to give her amulet to Sharrigan and to tell her that she was ready to take the mantle of Pastkeeper.[9]
Following the destruction of Iaia, Vicendithas used the Measure, a shard of the Needle and the Nodon Dragonkin dreamscape technology to create a dream simulation of Iaia. Hannibus saw it as a way to help the Ilujanka refugees adapt to life on Gielinor and maintain their traditions, and so he quickly told his brethren of it. Sharrigan moved into the dream to help the rest of the Ilujanka, upon which the World Guardian fulfilled her predecessor's last request and bequeathed her amulet to Sharrigan. In gratitude, she offered to share stories of the Ilujanka.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Sharrigan's actual generational difference with Hannibus is unknown, as the dialogue was cut short to prevent tedium in listing all the "greats".[10]
- As descendant of Hannibus, she is proof that Hannibus had at least one more child other than Vindicta.
