The Scripture of Wen is a book held in the pocket slot, and is the God book aligned with Wen. Unlike other god books it is not purchased from Jossik, but instead it is obtainable as a drop from the Arch-Glacor within the Glacor Front, one of the four fronts in the Elder God Wars Dungeon. It is dropped in a tradeable state, and when unlocked it becomes untradeable with 3 hours charge. It can then be charged up to 24 hours at full charge.

When lost upon death in the Wilderness, the Scripture of Wen disappears completely.

Passive effect

The Scripture of Wen can be activated like scrimshaws to provide a passive combat effect. The book can be recharged with Manuscripts of Wen, giving 45 minutes of active time per page.

When active, the scripture provides a 6.6% chance on the release of a damaging attack to activate the Sheer Cold effect. The beam is a 3x3 area-of-effect attack, damaging all targets on the 9 affected tiles. Targets are hit 5 times by the beam, each hit dealing the same damage, between 2.4%-4% of the player's ability damage. The targets will then shatter and take a hit that is between 240%-400% of the player's ability damage. In total, the Sheer Cold effect deals between 252%-420% of the player's ability damage. This attack uses the same visual as the Pillars of Ice mechanic during the fight with the Arch-Glacor. The shatter damage that is applied on the fifth beam hit will only apply to targets who were present in the Sheer Cold effect of the previous four beam hits.

This scripture is a good choice against either blocked enemies (stationary targets) or cases where one is able to stack enemies and potentially hit multiple at once. The scripture is also able to proc in Legacy Mode, making it the book of choice for area-of-effect barrage Slayer tasks.
