Not to be confused with Scarab.
This article is about the attackable NPC. For other scarabs, see Scarab (disambiguation).

Scarabs are higher levelled versions of scarab swarms, which, like their lower level counterparts, are capable of poisoning, and attack extremely fast (once every game tick, or 0.6 seconds) and almost always cause damage, making them dangerous for lower levelled players.

They randomly spawn inside the Jaldraocht Pyramid, spawning when a crack appears on the ground and emerging from it.

Killing scarabs is a possible task from a Menaphos City Quest. Fighting the mummies in the pyramid is one way to get them to spawn. However, it is recommended to skip the city quest if tasked to kill the scarabs because of how cumbersome it can be to kill many of them. If the player is level 91 slayer, killing corrupted scarabs is also an option.
