To successfully prosecute Bill, follow these steps before entering the courtroom:
- Read through the three case reports. There are no fingerprints.
- Interview Will, located in the courthouse. Go through all the chat options.
- Interview the Estate Agent, located in the courthouse. Go through all the chat options.
- Interview Bill (the sawmill operator), located in the courthouse. Go through all the chat options.
Then go into the courtroom below. Follow these steps:
- Present File 1 as evidence. Say "This patent demonstrates Bill's obsessive control."
- Present File 2 as evidence. Say "This letter proves that there were underhanded dealings."
- Call Bill to the stand. Ask him "Did you try to stop Will from opening his own business?"
- Call Will to the stand. Ask "Could you tell me about trying to start your own business?"
- Call the Estate Agent to the stand. Ask him "You were finding land for Will, right?"
- Direct the closing statement at the young man.

- Interview Sawmill Operator (Bill). Ask him "Did you try to stop Will from opening his own business?"
- Interview Will. Ask him "Did you help Bill build his Supersteady Plankmaking machine?"
- Interview the Estate Agent. Ask him "What can you tell me about Bill's business?"
- (Optional) Go through any other chat options you'd like.
Then go into the courtroom below. Follow these steps:
- Present File 1 as evidence. Say "This patent demonstrates Bill's caution in protecting his ideas."
- Present File 2 as evidence. Say "This letter doesn't prove any underhanded dealings."
- Call Bill to the stand. Ask him "Did you try to stop Will from opening his own business?"
- Call Will to the stand. Ask him "Did you help Bill build his Supersteady Plankmaking machine?"
- Call the Estate Agent to the stand. Ask him "What can you tell me about Bill's business?"
- Direct the closing statement at the young man.
