The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
- update 3 February 2020 (Update):
- Adjusted disassembly to give 4 materials per bar used in creating the item from scratch.
- patch 4 March 2013 (Update):
- The highlight outline on the rune platebody has been adjusted.
- patch 29 September 2008 (Update):
- The range of items that one can lend to other players has been expanded. These include a small amount of newer Treasure Trail items as well as some old ones, dragon spears and most rune and granite armour and weapons.
- Prior to the Personalised Shops update, members could make a profit by buying the platebody at the Blast Furnace Armour Store for 45,000 coins and then selling them at the Grand Exchange for around 70,000 coins. Currently, the Armour Store carries no stock of its own.
- Before the Mining and Smithing rework, the rune platebody required level 99 Smithing to craft, while the Dragon platebody required level 92.
- Aside from gameplay reasons, this could be explained as simply reforging the dragon platebody from preexisting pieces requires less expertise than creating a new platebody from a hardy metal such as runite from scratch.
- Prior to the Mining and Smithing rework, wearing a rune platebody required completion of the Dragon Slayer quest.
