Rune Capers is a time-limited event. In this event, players may gather tokens of might and tokens of talent for Joey. Tokens of talent can be obtained through skilling, while tokens of might can be obtained through combat. Accompanying Joey are Doug and a goblin butler. They help display the Cloak of Might, the Cloak of Talent, and the Cloak of Proficiency on a nearby exhibition stage.
Upon logging in during the event, the following announcement could be seen:
- Joey has some astonishing new capes to exhibit in Lumbridge - Stop by and check them out!
Event noticeboards and the event interface can be used to teleport to Joey for the duration of the event.
Every 1,000 tokens handed in the player's event level increases and an event mystery box is rewarded. At least two free spaces in one's inventory are required in order to hand in tokens.
Once the player has handed in 5,000 of the same token, the player will unlock one of the cloaks while 5,000 of both tokens will unlock the Cloak of Proficiency.
