Time limit

Archive

There has been ongoing archiving for a week or two now, as the Archive box at the top of the page shows. Archiving doesn't just take place all at once, we just move a discussion to an archive whenever it's been concluded. Sometimes it helps if the original authors make it clear whether their concern/question was addressed, and whether they are satisfied with the discussion. Could we create subpages to actually hold the active discussions on, with the main page just linking to the discussion subpages? I guess that would make it more like the old forums than anything, but it would cut the main page size down and make it a bit easier to find each topic. Pointy 23:49, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

I agree, I was just noticing that yesterday when I tried to go directly to RuneScape:Yew Grove and it didn't exist...I don't know how much discussion this needs, really...there's not a significant impact. We would simply:

1. Move this page to Yew Grove
2. Redirect Yew grove -> Yew Grove (would be done automatically)
3. Singlify double-redirects that resulted.

To Christine: We do. To Butterman: Yew Grove is a proper noun in the way we are using it. It isn't about just any Yew grove, it's a specific name we've given a community forum. It's similar to the Rocky Mountains. Aren't they just rocky mountains? To Azliq: "a lot of work?" It's literally 30 seconds worth of work to make this change, and as C Teng said, that defeats the purpose. The question of "who cares" isn't a bad one. Shouldn't the link to Yew grove in the side bar be changed? (It shows as Yew grove instead of Yew Grove). Any other links to RS:YG should show as "Yew Grove" instead of "Yew grove" as well. Finding all the links and modifying that would mean "lot of work". =)   az ^talk   15:29, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

altered heading
