RuneScape talk:Wikifest/Winter 2008
- Get into two teams, all wearing steel + weapon/ammy of choice and wilderness capes (so team mates show up on the minimap) and then fight it out in the wildy? -- Mercifull (Talk) 08:18, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
um we have a clan of about 20 people in the wily we should be fine Godpower49 I'm a mage, I can't wear steel armor.
Snow Ball fight[edit source]
i think there should be a snowball fight with snow globes because it is winter the snow ball fight should be held within Falador walls Godpower49
- Yeah, that would be a good idea. We suggested something like that once. C Teng talk 23:20, 5 November 2008
- Yeah, I agree with C. That would be a good idea for people that have snow globes. And I think for people without them we should go PKing like what I said above. 5chidori (Talk)(Contribs)(Edits) Play RuneScape 17:48, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

UK fest?[edit source]
Err.. Isn't it at midnight for the uk? Cos if it is I can't come. May be a UK version?I feel the power.
yup the uk gets stiffed again, last time through negotiation we managed to get 10pm, now its getting ridiculous. Separate fests are a good idea, I and 5 other wikians I know irl have opted not to come due to the now ridiculous times. we used to attend every single one, and the after events when the fest was over. We just can't do these times, therefore the wiki is down 5 110+ players this year. Bob2006ty(RUNESTORM333) talk 16:01, 14 January 2009 (UTC) ps the reason the uk time was 10pm last time was because australian players were losing out, so we settled on 9am for australia 10pm for uk, now the aussys have 10.30am and we get shafted, even though there are more of us. I have nothing against Australia I just hate the way the uk is being needlessly shunned, whats wrong with getting out of bed for 9am? Bob2006ty(RUNESTORM333) talk 16:05, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm Aussie, and the UK isn't shunned. It's just a lack of communication. I didn't have any part in planning the time for this and I'm happy to get up at 9am for the Fest. However, everything has already be set in place and it's too late to change it now (see the forum, Btzkillerv already tried to organize another Wikifest but failed.). I do agree that the time for the UK is just plain dumb, but there's nothing I can do about it. Voice your opinions early next time. ~ Sentry Telos Talk
I think I'll plan a UK version next time.I feel the power.
Eastern Australia Time[edit source]
Shouldn't it be 11-30am, because East Australia is on Daylight Saving Time? AEST is -10hr GMT, so with another hour forward for East Australia (AEDST), it has to be -9 hours, isn't that right? €MØŠwô®L[) 21:31, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- I checked the world time web sites, and it seems that AEDST seems to be -11 hours from GMT, not -9 hours. Maybe someone from Australia could confirm? Thanks. Amaurice talk 09:14, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
