Why not "RuneScapeWiki"?[edit source]

I see that our account name is http://www.twitter.com/rswiki. I've noticed that "RuneScapeWiki" isn't taken, so why don't we use that? It's more official. Just a suggestion. Quest point cape.pngLil Diriz 77 Talk Summoning-icon.png 22:57, May 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • Twitter evolved from SMS messaging, that's why it have 140 characters limit (SMS have 160, Twitter take some out for username length) so, Twitter account names should be short to have more space for the actual message when mentioning @RSWiki willwill Talk 12:14, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

CoTags tweet signing[edit source]

Instead of using -Name as signing, why not using one de facto standard to sign? There's @cotags system that use ^ in front of signature. It's just one character change and have been used by @twitterapi. Also, instead of some Armadyl minions as background, I propose that we should pick one Featured Images that have 1280x800 resolution or slightly larger and use it as the background. The top-left side should also have the wiki logo and then @cotags contributors list like @cotags profile background.

Also, there's contributor feature in development and @twitter use it. It would send the signature as one of tweet metadata and not part of tweet body. Still, there's no ETA AFAIK. willwill Talk 14:52, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

If you could provide me with a nice image, I'd be more than happy to upload it :)! And, allright, let's use CoTags ;)! Mark (talk) 14:57, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
Here you go: PSD Source (9.71MB) and compiled JPEG 60% quality (PNG quality seems too much for a background) willwill Talk 16:15, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
Could you resize the image so it fully fits (this one is about 1/6 of the screen), and also send a PNG version? I'll see what I can do with the PNG. Mark (talk) 16:32, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
It's slightly larger than my screen. (1280x800, but some have been used by the browser box) Also, the source image is even smaller than this one, so it might look ugly in upscaled size. Here is PNG version, 1.23MB
Btw, did you pressed the zoom button in yfrog? If not, try this one willwill Talk 16:52, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, it works now. Great work! Mark (talk) 17:05, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
