RuneScape talk:Inter-fansite communication

This talk page is for discussing the RuneScape:Inter-fansite communication page.

Is an evaluation request really necessary? Or is a simple once-over of experience, knowledge (of policies) and community participation by a volunteer enough. I know I have a evaluation request in progress right now and people might say I just want to get in, but I am genuinely wondering. Is this "bureaucracy" I was told not to have, many times? 222 talk 07:21, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

There's a difference between knowing policies and being able to communicate and organise.   Swizz Talk   Events!   11:44, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

"Current"[edit source]

I'm under the Current section, does this mean my role is temporary?   Swizz Talk   Events!   12:30, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

Kind of maybe. First off, I think we're making way to much of this even haivng a page and such, but fine, lets be official. As for your role, right now you are coordinating the events for our little war. After it is over, who knows how long until we need to communicate to the other sites again? Or maybe it will be for an event you do not care for, or someone else can explain/coordinate the next one better due to schedules or whatever.--Degenret01 12:40, August 19, 2010 (UTC)
Great, that's fine.   Swizz Talk   Events!   12:54, August 19, 2010 (UTC)

RuneScape's 10th Anniversary Event[edit source]

Are there any improvements or comments you guys would like to make?   Swizz Talk   Events!   17:57, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

It's mostly out of our hands anyway. All I can do is hope they make it a decent time. 222 talk 00:18, December 30, 2010 (UTC)
RuneHQ are allowing me to make some changes before this is made official.   Swizz Talk   Events!   09:44, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

Update[edit source]

I've had a responce from both Tip It and RS Outreach, and both are saying that they would be more than happy to participate. Date will be Saturday 15th January, but the time is open to debate.

I would also like to voice my opinion, that the reason we decided to do Fist Of Guthix was because of the matchmaking mechanic. It would mean that people are randomly paired rather than competitvely fighting, and it would also prevent disruptive clans from crashing (I think we've all had enough of them).

I've set up an account here so that I can keep in contact with you guys.

Finalised![edit source]

Runescape 10th Anniversary Event

Hello guys, and thanks for being patient. As you guys are aware, planning was tough on an event of such a large scale.

To Finalise our guestlist, the following are attending; -Tip It -RS Wiki -RS Outreach -Spirits of Arianwyn -RuneHQ

We've finally decided a time which should be able to accommodate a wide variety of players. We are of course aware and very understanding that due to where we live in the world, some players will not be able to make it.

To summarise, the event will be Fist Of Guthix, which will be held in World 10 (F2P), at the time of 4pm Central / 5pm Eastern / 10pm GMT / 9am Sydney (16th Jan).

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there, and hope it will be a blast!

Cheers, ~The Eggman 23:05, January 6, 2011 (UTC)The_Eggman

Thanks very much for being able to include Eastern Hemisphere players in this event. That's pretty much all I have to say. 222 talk 00:30, January 7, 2011 (UTC)

Thank You for Attending[edit source]

Dear RS Wikia,

On behalf of RuneHQ, I would like to thank you and everyone who helped made this event a huge success.

It is events such as these which help tie great communities together, and we hope that we can do many more events together in the future!

Yours sincerely, ~The Eggman 06:15, January 16, 2011 (UTC)The_Eggman

Was a good event! There were several Zybez users present. Thank you for hosting this event!
