Q: Are Hiders allowed to use items such as the Bone Brooch to aid there concealment?

~Kit Solent

Q: Are hiders allowed to teleport?

~Floccinauci

To hide, yes. But you can't move once you have a spot. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 22:57, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Q: So we can't move once we have a spot, we just stand still until someone finds us? ~Floccinauci

Yep. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 23:05, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Q: So we got 3 mins to hide, and after 3 mins we can't move?Nich1124 04:39, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Forget what Evil said, we have only recently fully fleshed out the details. As a hider you have no such restrictions, after finding a spot you can move around as much as you want bearing in mind that it may mean you can get caught out in the open. If you are seen while moving you need to stop and let them tag you. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 04:49, February 19, 2011 (UTC)
However, after giving a clue you must stay in the same spot - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 04:50, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I volunteered, but i'm not entirely sure if i can make it or not. I have a thing going on in orlando that i need to do, and it might go on during the event. if it does, i can't make it Scaper12123 12:01, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Q:Are Hidders allowed to get some items and put them around them like lets say skulls and bones and put it around the bone brooch?Larmonas55 03:35, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Bone brooches and easter rings are allowed. If you want to place bones around yourself in a totally-not-suspivious-at-all circle, go ahead - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 05:25, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Q:How much money are we hiders gonna get or what are the things 121.54.29.122 10:51, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

If you signed up as a hider for the money, you out of luck. Probably 20k, maybe 50k if im in a good mood. The point is, that you are VOLUNTEERING.- [Pharos] 10:56, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Question[edit source]

Should we use those boots and a starting horn? 16px‎AtlandyBeer.png 22:57, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

But thats about just as hard to police as "nobody move" when we have up to 30 feet to check. We'll think about it though, thanks. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 02:38, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

I am seriously considering being a hider, I know f2p Gielnor like the back of my rune scim, but wouldn't it be unfair, if the seekers got more rewards... I think the rewards should be pretty even...

Thats why they are called "volunteers" ^_^ - [Pharos] 12:39, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

One thing i dont like is that alot of these events dont like gmt players so i might not be able to come if you dont change this

Zamorak GWD and Revenant hunting were 7pm UTC, Castle Wars, Treasure trails and GOP were 8pm UTC, TB was 11pm UTC and PC was 12am UTC. This event and the next one will be 10pm UTC and 11pm UTC respectively. Sounds like a decent spread of convenience for the rest of the world to me? - [Pharos] 09:38, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
Are we aloud to use rc alters ? or use guilds (e.g. cooking guild)?
As stated on the page, areas with a skill or quest requirement are not allowed - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 05:13, March 2, 2011 (UTC)
RC altars don't actually have a skill requirement to enter. The skill req is just to craft. In fact, you can even make tiaras for altars at which you cannot craft runes. --Saftzie (talk) 06:49, March 2, 2011 (UTC)
0_0 good point there. Ill go add "no altars" to the list - [Pharos] 07:36, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

Hiding clarification?[edit source]

Hey just want a clarification of yes/no hiding spots.

Is the Draynor Jail, it's dungeon, and the zamorak tower near Goblin Village allowed? they are a bit risky. Same goes for Karamaja, due to price restriction, and the dungeon there.32.178.109.183 19:56, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Ah, didnt think of those.
  • Draynor jail. Yes, its close to monsters but it should be easy to see a hider, trade him and run
  • The chaos temple is allowed, the monks are unaggressive last i checked
  • Karamja is a tough one, ill get back to you
Thanks for bringing those up :) - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 05:11, February 23, 2011 (UTC)
Karamja isnt allowed, sorry - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 04:48, February 24, 2011 (UTC)
The restrictions make it almost impossible to hide - just saying.71.167.39.80 15:56, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
Oh yeah - so anything not specified but within the region is okay to hide in?
Due to an overwhelming amount of sign ups, giving us an idea of the possible seeker turnout, Karamja is now allowed - [Pharos] 01:16, February 27, 2011 (UTC)
but the interior of volcano is not allowed for the monster?Nich1124 09:40, February 28, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, lesser demons are just a liiittle too much to ask :P - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 09:58, February 28, 2011 (UTC)

Sign up[edit source]

I am having trouble signing, from my I-pod touch I try to sign up but then I am unsure wether it worked, I'm not on the list could I get some help? 71.51.18.120 Firetroll553

You have been added - [Pharos] 07:46, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

Form-Changing items?[edit source]

Are the Ring of Stone and similar items allowed to be used by hiders? EDIT: Oh nevermind, Ring of Stone is members only. I don't think there are any of such items which are available to free players. Disregard this XJoMan112x 00:27, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

Time?[edit source]

How long will this be? and will this occur during the bonus exp weekend?--Qazwsx753421 21:52, March 4, 2011 (UTC)

Usually it's about an hour. And no, not during the bonus exp weekend since the even is on 5 March (hence the name "Events Team/Hide and Seek (F2P - 5 Mar 2011)") and the bonus exp weekend is the 11th through the 13th. Full Slayer Helmet! Evil1888 Talk A's L Dragon Platebody! 21:55, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
I just read the events, so there won't be any event during the bonus exp weekend right?--Qazwsx753421 21:59, March 4, 2011 (UTC)
No. No one would come, even if there was. --Saftzie (talk) 22:22, March 4, 2011 (UTC)

Form changing?[edit source]

I know this was asked, but there are a few f2p items, such as the bone broach (2010 halloween) that change form (turns you into a pile of bones) would this be allowed?Axslayer33 19:35, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Imma go ahead and say No form changing items allowed   Swizz Talk   Events!   19:40, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
kk thanks Axslayer33 19:42, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

what about the chocatrice cape? Mccarroll 20:20, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Pharos/Greed already said above that bone brooches and Easter rings are okay. With an hour left to go, my suspicion is any F2P form changing will be allowed if those two are, because you'll still be a white (or purple) dot on the minimap. However, I have no authority whatsoever. (Leaves to poke someone in the eye....) --Saftzie (talk) 21:58, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Form changing items are allowed. Firstly, they still leave a purple dot on the minimap and are easy enough to spot if you're looking. Secondly, we have no way to properly enforce a rule restricting them. All we could do is kick them which would be too late anyway. - [Pharos] 22:20, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

Gamer's Grotto[edit source]

Hey just reviewed the map, and it hit me-What about the Grotto? Are we allowed in it, and can we hide at Fist of Guthix? Axslayer33 20:12, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

I'd suspect the Grotto itself is okay, but don't go through any portals. (I have no authority whatsoever....) --Saftzie (talk) 22:00, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
The grotto is allowed. - [Pharos] 22:20, March 5, 2011 (UTC)

BKF?[edit source]

sorry to be a pain-Black Knight's Fortress allowed? needs the armor and such, that's why I'm asking  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Axslayer33 (talk) on 21:39, 5 March 2011 (UTC).

Hmm... Can people get in without starting the quest? Level 1 Def is all you need to wear the armor.... --Saftzie (talk) 22:05, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
No, the fortress is not allowed, sorry. I'll go make changes to the page to make that clear. - [Pharos] 22:20, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
kk thanks....at this rate we'll have to review it all over again :PAxslayer33 22:27, March 5, 2011 (UTC)
