What noobs do[edit source]

Since the event description distinguishes between noobs and Real RuneScape Players, I have some questions:

  • Would noobs use weapon poison on their bronze daggers and bronze arrows?
  • Would noobs choose to use a short bow and bronze arrows (or strike spells) for bosses other than the Kalphite queen in her second form?
  • Would noobs use a bronze crossbow and bronze crossbow bolts (or bronze knives or bronze darts) instead of a shortbow and bronze arrows?
    • Would noobs use weapon poison on their bolts, knives, or darts?
    • Would noobs attach opal tips on their bronze bolts?
    • Would noobs enchant their opal bolts?
  • Would noobs use a bronze warhammer or mace, instead of a golden hammer, against the KQ in her first form?
    • Aside: Would noobs remember that each bronze arrow, bronze bolt, bronze knife, bronze dart, and runestone counts as an item, so the loss of the golden hammer on death is guaranteed?

The point is to use weak weapons to kill big bosses. Ive picked the 3 weapons because they are weak without having large negative bonuses. They are also, in my opinion, the most commonly used weapons for this type of event. *watches youtube way too much*
We're not about to stop you from using the items you mentioned above, seriously...
And no, i had not considered the problems of using ammo. Ill go make changes to suggest a sling - [Pharos] 06:15, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
I hadn't thought of a sling. Perhaps along the same vein, mages should bring an air staff for Wind Rush instead of the strike spells. --Saftzie (talk) 07:41, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
Ah, i had forgotten that air rush existed... Good idea.- [Pharos] 08:21, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, and as to using ranged/mage for other fights. I guess they CAN if they really want to or if they're a pure or something. But this event was more for the novelty of using bronze daggers/holiday rewards to kill bosses. The mage/range was just an afterthought when i realized the KQ uses protection from melee in her second form >_> - [Pharos] 08:35, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

Are you serious?[edit source]

I'm waiting for someone to shout April Fools! <_< --LiquidTalk 03:25, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

Well, it's not on a Tuesday, so I think it's serious. --Saftzie (talk) 03:38, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

Potions[edit source]

"Only noobs use overloads and super sets, and only crybabies ask the gods for help with prayers. But I suppose not everyone is as fearless as us Wikians. You're free to bring as many potions and as much food as you want as long as you're fine with losing it all on death."

Uh. What kind of potions then? Santa hat.png Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 03:39, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

Antifire for the KBD and antipoison for the Kalphites would be good choices. --Saftzie (talk) 03:42, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

Elemental staves[edit source]

Can we bring elemental staves and a stack of mind runes to the KQ lair? Or is the mage bonus too high?

Go recheck the page, changes have been made. - [Pharos] 08:21, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

gravestones[edit source]

Tell everyone to bring 5 gp so they will be sure to spawn a grave.--Degenret01 08:16, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

>_> - [Pharos] 08:32, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
what? you don;t think 40 graves will be worth the lulz? I will even give the money to people that forget.--Degenret01 08:47, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
Mmmm, i guess so... Fine, added. Ill be sure to mention that they shouldn't bring money because Degen is paying for everyone. - [Pharos] 08:52, March 21, 2011 (UTC)
One more caveat: 5 coins guarantees that a golden hammer is lost on death. The only way to keep it is to have 3 (or 4) or fewer items. If it seems like I'm making a big deal out of it, it's because I actually use mine a lot. I know others do as well, even if it's not everyone. Replacing it is hardly terrible, but replacing bronze maces or warhammers is much easier, which is why I asked about those above. --Saftzie (talk) 21:35, March 22, 2011 (UTC)
