  • Are there plans in place to split worlds if we have a turnout akin to what we had previously. (wszx) 01:31, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
Yes, we have *I hope 0_0* learnt from last time. We now have multiple clan chats set up properly which can be used incase we get a large turnout. 39 and 40 are the first choices for world ofc but with large enough teams it shouldn't be a problem finding another world and crashing randoms >:D - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 02:59, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
  • how do some people with quickchat get spilt up? use another account to hear what clan chat to go to?--Qazwsx753421 23:29, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

this was a bad turn out no one could get loot share on and no one entered the room and when they did after 1 kill they logged off leaving me and somone esle i ran to the altar but died and no one blessed and lost 600k due to a lack of well anything you now owe me 600k and people were leaving the clan chat and the name of the chat didnt change so i didnt know where to go this is the worst event in gaming history

If you had listened or read the page properly you would realize that RSW Events was a base cc. From there we had people split off into the three separate clan chats. In fact, i told you six times before leaving, "everyone else head to Fergie_Angel", we then set the channel name to Fergie_Angel like we said we would on the page. - [Pharos] 01:12, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

what clan chat?[edit source]

what clan chat? and lootshare or coin share? --Qazwsx753421 04:57, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

Coinshare. As for a cc we'll start with "Gaz Lloyd" but may need to also use other cc's if we get a large turnout. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 05:04, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
Scratch that, we'll be in GLL as a starting cc - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 13:02, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
... actually, go RSW Events >_> thats my last change - [Pharos] 15:30, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
Why coinshare? We lost untradable stuff and recieve a -5% income with other drops. 12:12, February 19, 2011 (UTC)
Just because its easier and more convenient - [Pharos] 12:15, February 19, 2011 (UTC)
Can you also tell us what backup CC #1 and, depending on how many people you are expecting [probably more than the time we were fighting in the Zamorak dungeon, since this dungeon is easier to get to and less dangerous] maybe also CC#2, so people who plan on coming late [like me] know where to go if RSW Events is full? - 613angel 00:55, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
The principal clan chat is RSW Events but we're going to (hopefully) run across several worlds with people spread among the ccs of ET members. If you turn up to RSW Events and essentially nobody is there, try ET ccs: GLL, Raging Bull, Fergie Angel, Swizzl3d. At least one of them should feature a group that's already busy at the boss so let the leader know you've arrived so you can be added to lootshare. BoB or healer[edit source]

I'm aware of the issue with retaliating familiars (from painful first hand experience :/). How difficult is it to get your familiar to attack a minion? ie am I going to get "Your familiar is too far away" messages unless I'm careful about where I stand? Assuming I think I can manage that, what's preferred between a unicorn and war tortoise? Stewbasic 14:06, February 18, 2011 (UTC)

You won't get the "your familiar is too far away" message, the room is quite small and the minions stick around Graardor so they can easily attack all players standing close enough to them (for the ranger and meleer, at least). It's not difficult to do, but if you don't pay attention, or if the minion randomly walks out of range, that could be the end of your life. (; Not to mention there will probably be a lot of people there... Familiars and bodies clogging up the space, making it hard to see what your familiar is attacking. I'd take a pony. sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 14:48, February 18, 2011 (UTC)
Another tactic is too call your familar every few second's so it can't have enough time to initiate a attack, although when getting damage this tactic becomes more dangerous, as you can't call and heal readily making the general more likely to attack you. Amun erebos 01:41, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

time?[edit source]

How long will the trip be? -  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Qazwsx753421 (talk).

We will be staying there for quite a few hours. You are free to come and go as you please. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 02:33, February 19, 2011 (UTC)

Timing[edit source]

First of all, is there a reason this is always on Saturday? Can we try Sunday once? I can't speak for everyone but maybe we can vote on which day is more convenient?

Also, will there be a way for latecomers to get help entering the GWD if it is their first time or its straightforward enough? Since I won't be able to join the fun until at least 1.5-2hours into the GWD party. - 613angel

Saturday is by far the best time for the widest range of players. If we moved it to early on Sunday, we'd have a much smaller turnout as most people prefer to stay up a bit later rather than wake up early on a Sunday. If we made it late on a Sunday, most people will be preparing for work/school and wont be able to come and those in the Eastern hemisphere of the world will be required to wake up and play on a Monday morning right before work/school.
Sorry, we arent going to have people leave the boss chamber and head to falador for players that are a whole 2 hours late. You'll need to make it there yourself. We'd hate for someone to miss a bandos split just to make a trip a little bit safer, you should be fine be yourself if you wear a zamorak and bandos item :) - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 05:41, February 20, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, and sorry if this isn't formatted correctly, this is 1 of my first formal posts as a wiki member and I still have no idea how to do most types of editing and formatting properly (the original question was me forgetting to sign in first (like for example how to get this to indent and be a reply and not a continuation of your post)

As a second question, can we have a backup CC ready? since if the first on is full, those coming in late might have a hard(er) time figuring out which world and which CC. - 613angel 15:28, February 20, 2011 (UTC)
Don't worry, we have quite a few ccs ready to use incase we get a big turnout. Having a 50 man mass is quite silly as all drops will be worth almost nothing. So we will direct excess from the first cc into other ccs on different worlds. - [Pharos] iPhone Edit 20:36, February 20, 2011 (UTC)
Can the gmt be moved to like 6pm because alot of runescape uk players wont be able to do 10pm i enjoy these god wars trips like a zamy one so will 6pm be alringt and can i loan a bgs for the event otherwise it is the ancient mace which is like a bronze dagger but worse - robe omega

This makes it difficult for Australia and Asia to attend and we were aiming to make this event a bit easier for them as the times for the last few events have been 11am, 7am, 7am, 7am, 10am, 6am, 6am for them. We will return to the regular times soon. - [Pharos] 09:29, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
(would be nice if I figured out how to reply/ indent and not just add, sorry guys guess I'm too technologically inept in that area, anyway...) For the record and speaking as someone living currrently in the East Coast, at least some, if not all, Americans appreciate these events taking place in the (late) afternoon and I'm sure the Australians and Americans wouldn't mind future events meant to accomadate them being pushed back a few more hours. Maybe there should be a time zone rotation, where all wiki members can vote on the time that works best for them (converted to GMT, or whatever time zone you want) and then coordinators can coordinate events to take place at specific times proportional to the amount of people who live in each time zone (for example, if 50% of the people want an event at 10oclock, 20% at 9oclock, and 30% at 8oclock [made way simpler than I'm sure it is] then have about half the events take place at 10oclock, 1/5 at 9oclock and 3/10 at 8oclock) or maybe have do-over events for other time zones if enough people want it [just a suggestion, not a request] - 613angel 17:28, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
Of course we'll have do-over events. We try to change the times up for all events so every player in any part of the world can attend at least one. sssSp7p.pngIjLCqFF.png 17:34, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
i do think we should have a poll i mean most runescape players are usa and uk so we can see what time is the best for most people

Kill Count[edit source]

Does your kill count reset if you are in the main, 4 God Chamber and you log out? (thinking on leaving my account, with 40 Bandos kills there in advance so I can get inside quickly) Also, just pointing out that if there are more than 15 people on a world, it might take a while for everyone to get 40 kills (or is it easier than i think for people of higher levels than me) -- 613angel 01:25, February 21, 2011 (UTC)

Kill count does not reset when you log out. It only does when you leave the GWD area. Suppa chuppa Talk 01:26, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
it resets when you go into the chamber--Qazwsx753421 08:41, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
No, 40 are removed when you enter the Boss' Chamber - [Pharos] 08:44, February 21, 2011 (UTC)
can i loan a bandos god sword from someone before the event i have 78 attack but my best wepeon is a dragon halbered and i have no bandos items so when i try to get the killcount i will get slughtered
robe omega
I'll lend my bgs, for some money, like 10-20k, cause i only have 74 attack and it'll run smoothely if you use it... just tell me when and where and how long you want it :D--Qazwsx753421 23:27, February 25, 2011 (UTC)
Don't Forget the Bandos pool from As a First Resort quest, this provides you with 1 hour immunity from bandos follower's in godwars. Amun erebos 09:08, February 22, 2011 (UTC)
can you bring our bgs to the event ill bring 30k if you do i need it for going in so
robe omega
sorry, i lent it to somebody else --Qazwsx753421 21:43, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
