Reaching Out[edit source]

We're usually a well kept up small community of editors with a large amount of here and there contributors and a greater number of viewers. Rather than focusing on what we already have and know, I was asked by Stelercus to see if I could get some other involvement from some more popular players of the game, or to reach out a bit more. I loved the idea and contacted a few of my friends to see what I could get.

Jiblix[edit source]

Jiblix is a level 3 skiller renowned for his devotion to skill. Currently with 12 level 99's, he is still presently on his way to his 13th. On the side Jiblix is a Forum Moderator on the RuneScape Forums and loves to write short RuneScape and Jagex based stories.

What is your greatest achievement in RuneScape?
Being a level 3 skiller with 12 skills at 99.

What would you describe as your most memorable moment in RuneScape?
My 99 Agility party. I think everyone from world 84 showed up :p

What are your current goals?
Achieving 99 RC, Farming, Herblore, and Slayer

What is your opinion on the RuneScape Community as a whole and how can it improve?
The community is growing rapidly. I'm not so sure on how to improve it though.

As experienced players, surely you've used fansites for guide, training, item info, etc. What features would benefit fansites greater to offer a more convenient experience for player that you have had difficulty with or couldn't find?
Not really sure. I really only use the rs wikia and I'm happy with just that.

Have you visited the RuneScape Wiki before?
Yes, I've been a member for over 2 years. :)

S Diamant Y[edit source]

S Diamant Y is currently ranked in RuneScape as the #1 Free Player in the game. She's been sourced on the main page of RuneScape for over 15,000 free play hours and was invited to Cambridge to visit the Jagex team along with her sister. S Diamant recently celebrated her first 200M xp in free play and is currently enjoying the many benefits of being one of RuneScape's finest Dual Moderators (Player Moderator and Forum Moderator).

What is your greatest achievement in RuneScape?
Maxing out F2P and getting rank 1 in F2P. ^_^

What would you describe as your most memorable moment in RuneScape?
Hmm, it used to be things I did in the past when I was a low level, lol. =X But now…I think my 200m cooking exp. Party is my most memorable moment in RuneScape. All the people I love were there. It was amazing to see all those players/friends together. Definitely something I won’t forget. ^_^

What are your current goals?
Getting 200m exp. in Ranged and 1b total exp. =p

What is your opinion on the RuneScape Community as a whole and how can it improve?
The community is great. There are so many people, all of different ages and diverse origins. It can be very educational. People discuss recent news topics, refine their knowledge of historical events, and even learn how to write in different languages.

As experienced players, surely you've used fansites for guide, training, item info, etc. What features would benefit fansites greater to offer a more convenient experience for player that you have had difficulty with or couldn't find?
Good question. =X I personally never really use[d] fansites. I’ve used the calculators on Tip.it and on RuneHQ, but that was about it. *blush*

Have you visited the RuneScape Wiki before?
Yeppies. ^_^

Water is Nat[edit source]

Water is Nat is currently ranked 4th in all of Free to Play on RuneScape. He's a very social player who can often be found in many well known clan channels and is one of RuneScape's finest Player Moderators. Like S Diamant Y, Water is Nat too enjoyed a wonderful trip to visit Jagex.

What is your greatest achievement in RuneScape?
Ehh, that's a tough one! I would have to say Maxing Out F2P. Although, I never saw this as a 'great achievement'. I look at it as "a fase of the game in which you stopped leveling up". But the game doesn't stop here. :) So what's the achievement?

If I reach 200M experience in a skill, I'll call that a great achievement, but we aren't there yet, so I'll have to stick with Maxing out for now. =)

What would you describe as your most memorable moment in RuneScape?
Finishing Tutorial island & my first few days on RuneScape. :D I'll never forget how happy I felt when I arrived in Lumbridge. (I never finished the tutorial on my very first account ) My first days were rather epic... Trying to learn how the game worked & getting killed every few minutes by monsteres that appeared to be stronger than they looked like... The last thing I remember about my few first days was getting lost in Falador, not knowing how to get past those huge white walls. But as you can see, from then on, everything went well! :)

It's a memory that I will never forget, and reminds me of the great times being noobie, just lovely!

What are your current goals?
Working my way towards 200M strength experience. This will take quite a few more months, but I'm not in a hurry. :) What's after strength? ... You'll see when I get there :P

What is your opinion on the RuneScape Community as a whole and how can it improve?
I enjoyed the Community more when RuneScape was still smaller, less crowded. Everyone knew everyone in that world, just great. =)

Now that ClanChats were introduced, and the game is getting bigger and bigger, people don't tend to stick to a certain world as much as before. They can go whereever they want, and still communicate as if they were standing next to eachother. This, together with the well-maintained forums are features that already 'upgraded' the community. ~ but that doesn't mean it's better for people like me, who like to skill & chat in peace with the people they like most. :)

How to improve it even more? Worlds that are based on age, overall level, experience, etcetera seem to be one of the things that can really make the difference. These are the ways to create an environement for every player in which he/she can get in touch with people with same intrests & so on. At this moment, that's the only thing I look forward to & see as a possible improvement.

As experienced player, surely you've used fansites for guide, training, item info, etc. What features would benefit fansites greater to offer a more convenient experience for player that you have had difficulty with or couldn't find?

I always menage to find everything I needed. By using multiple sites, browsing serveral forums & even checking youtube, you can always find what you are looking for. Just takes some patience & time. Fansites are doing a great job, and really help players, nomatter what their interests are.

Have you visited the RuneScape Wiki before?

I do remember ending up on Wiki once... I clicked the wrong link on Google... o_O So I'm afraid that it was a 1 sec-visit. :P

As the community grows, so should our efforts to get others involved.

Hope you all enjoyed!
