Editing Map Images[edit source]

I want to help update new location/updated location maps. I noticed that they often have a blue box marker of the "thing/topic" on the map that's being discussed. Is there a template or image of that square, or do I just make my own purple transparent square? (Such as the one below)  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by XVerax (talk) on 12:12, 20 September 2016 (UTC).

I believe all of these types of maps are made using User:Cook Me Plox/NPC Map Creator. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 12:49, September 20, 2016 (UTC)

Data collection[edit source]

Is there anyway I can/allowed to get data from this site? XML? I'm just after disassembly data for different items. too many to search and copy. I want items and their chance data which I was going to collect in a excel spreadsheet and sort accordingly. cheers toy smurf  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 23:20, October 4, 2016‎ (UTC).

I'm sure someone more experienced on the subject will come along shortly to answer your question in a more thorough way, but in the meantime I can point you to the RuneScape API, and the MediaWiki API documentations. There might be enough there to get you started — Heaven Sent (talk) 04:17, October 5, 2016 (UTC)
All the raw data for item chances are on Module:Disassembly material calculator/data as a lua table - it should be obvious what means what, but watch out for comments (line starts with --). This data is by category. Finding the category/level for an item is kinda awkward to do in bulk automatically, but I whipped up User:Gaz Lloyd/dpl9 for you.
This is a table of all the disassemblable items with the four key values: category, level, special, specialchance. These are: the item's (specific) category, the item's disassembly level, the item's special materials (if any), and whether the item always gives (one of the) special materials - yes/true for 100%, no/false for not 100%. Special has the format material[quantity]{chance} or material quantity chance. Both quantity and chance are optional. See the documentation of Template:Disassembly for more info on this.
You'll also need Module:Disassemble/data to map those names into categories used by the chance data - its a bit more complex than the other module, but you can probably work it out. Let me know if you want help.
Of course, you'll also need to have read Disassemble and Junk, but I assume you've already done that. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 11:26, October 7, 2016 (UTC)

Issue with (atleast) the Protective Component Calculator[edit source]

I apologize if this isn't the appropriate place to report this. I tried to edit it but I didn't see how it was possible.

If you go to the page, you might notice the "cost per mat" column is incorrect. What it should do is take the average chance for Protective components, and give you the effective cost per Protective Component in the "cost per mat" column (this is how it works for example, in the Powerful Component Calculator). However, it instead gives you the effective cost per the 8 materials that that item gives. For example, Ganodermic Boots are listed at 3k per material, when they're themselves 24k. This is a result of dividing the price of the boots by the materials (8). It should instead display 145k, which is how much you can expect to pay before you get 1 Protective Component. A proper version of this calculator that works correctly can be found here: .  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 21:58, 16 February 2017‎.

This was a known issue and is already fixed - you likely have a cached version of the javascript. Does it persist if you clear your cache (ctrl-f5)? (You may also want to login to an account - logged-out users have a slower cache for everything.) Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 22:20, February 16, 2017 (UTC)
(Cant figure out how to reply with an indent) Clearing my cache did indeed fix it, thank you.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 22:28, 16 February 2017‎ (UTC).

Title template[edit source]

Hey guys, I just starded here in the community and I think it's awesome. I just wanted to know if anyone can help me with this little issue, i want to put some of my ideas of work on titles pages and stuff like that, I want to know if anyone can tell me how to put that title "thing" like something with the grey back to contrast with the white colour of the page. Thanks. Abysaw (talk) 02:34, February 27, 2017 (UTC)

To format a title such as [Name] of the Elves you'd want to use the Template:TitleAnchor: . Documentation on how to format each of those variables can be found in the documentation sections of the template's page via the link I gave above. — Heaven Sent (talk) 02:57, February 27, 2017 (UTC)

Issues with HTML pull from profile page[edit source]

I've Used my profile on my previous account for years to power the prices on my calculators, but it has recently started resulting with "Imported content is empty". Is there any reason that the tables aren't working for Html pulls anymore?

If it's something I can fix, is there any way for you to help me get there please. I've researched everything i can think of to fix it.

Thanks for the help Batwingrobes (talk) 19:10, March 13, 2017 (UTC)

I can't see anything obviously wrong with the page you're using, assuming it's User:Batwingrobes. Could you explain what you're trying to do it more details, so I can go through it step by step and try to reproduce your issue? cqm 07:08, 14 Mar 2017 (UTC) (UTC)

Basically I have my User:Profile set up as a table. For the last 4 years, =Index(ImportHtml(("", "table",1))) has pulled all of the table into a Google spreadsheet once every 24 hrs for me to be able to use it. Suddenly it's saying that the imported contents are empty. I was doing some research and was seeing that maybe it was due to the table not loading before contents are pulled, or maybe it's not an iTable(or something like that).

Sorry if noone here would have any idea, I was moreso contacting to see if a change had been made to the website, or if there was a way I could view a static version of the site so that it could load from there? I'm not very skilled in the wiki side of everything.

Thank you very much Batwingrobes (talk) 14:22, March 13, 2017 (UTC)

I'm unaware of any specific changes, but I'd recommend sending in an email to staff via Special:Contact/general for further investigation. I don't believe Wikia explicitly supports such a use case, but they may be able to shed some light on what's happening and suggest a workaround. cqm 22:09, 15 Mar 2017 (UTC) (UTC)

Crystal chest drops[edit source]

Take a look at Grimy torstol. In the "drop sources" section, grimy torstol is listed as being dropped always from crystal chest. This is obviously not true, because crystal chest has a dozen different loot scenarios, only one in which grimy torsol appears (and thus is an guaranteed drop within that loot possibility). This problem appears for other crystal chest drops as well; the drops DPL grabs the rarity from within one of the loot possibilities.

Could someone help change this? Perhaps there's a way to exclude crystal chest loot from appearing in drop source lists entirely? I've been unable to solve this problem myself. Thanks in advance. 5-x Talk 17:35, March 24, 2017 (UTC)

I looked into this a bit myself, prototyping a template to be used on that page instead, but never pulled the trigger on it. The code could probably be cleaned up a bit if anyone cares to take over the project: Heaven Sent (talk) 20:32, March 24, 2017 (UTC)
Yea this is a bit of a problem. I think the crystal chest page could do with a rework to make more sense. You could do whatever to stop the crystal chest stuff being fed through the DPL but it sort of should be doing that since it's still a source of torstol. Regardless, the rarities on the crystal chest page aren't particularly useful and are mainly to distinguish the few cases where a particular drop table might only give one of a set of items rather than all of them. That doesn't tie back nicely to what one crystal chest loot might spit out at you - it's not very meaningful. "You get a torstol every time, 8% of the time." --Henneyj 23:31, March 26, 2017 (UTC)

Hardcore Ironman Mode/Strategies[edit source]

My problem. There isn't any page for the above section. Hardcore Ironman strategies link from Hardcore Ironman Mode takes you to Ironman Mode/Strategies, which I believe doesn't have the level of attention that's Hardcore deserves. (Plus the Ironman Mode/Strategies don't distinguish between P2P quests and F2P ones). It is a different gaming style and therefore need some its own page. Information about Fishing and Cooling should be paramount. Prayer as well should be emphasised. Some of the information, like Shops and Starting Out could be copied from the Ironman Mode/Strategies. I also think that at the bottom of each quest, an Ironman Mode alternative should be available. Eg, planks can only be obtained in F2P Ironman from the Wildy, the planks being necessary for Dragon Slayer. Level 34 Smithing is required to produce the 90 nails also required for Dragon Slayer. Level 40 Fishing and Cooking is recommended to obtain Lobsters for combat in Dragon Slayer etc. etc. Krytoxx (talk) 23:34, May 3, 2017 (UTC)

Semantic MW[edit source]

It's been true for a little while now that Semantic MediaWiki has been uninstalled. At the very least, that screws the Drop Source tables on item pages. Do we need to start making them manually again? --Saftzie (talk) 06:47, August 15, 2017 (UTC)

Quick guide inconsistencies[edit source]

Hi, new to being an active contributor although I have been using the wiki for years, I've been noticing inconsistent steps during the One Small Favour quick guide and wondered if it was due to a mistake or simply my ironman hasn't done related quests to the relevant npc therefore options requiring 2 instead of 3 etc being scrambled on more than one occasion or if it is indeed an error and needs to be corrected.

Lebdestroyer (talk) 00:21, September 13, 2017 (UTC)Lebdestroyer

Both options are possible, but it's been a while since I've done that quest, so I don't know if they're either incorrect, or dependent on related quests for those NPCs. If that option is the option that you see, then please correct it, if it is dependent then other editors will change it to what they see, and then we'll have more prove to see if it is indeed dependent on related quests of NPCs, or if it was just incorrect. I uploaded a new version of File:Teleport map.png (edit: removed link to not blow up the page), and it has the error "Error creating thumbnail: Invalid thumbnail parameters" As it's a map of the world, it's a huge base image at 6400 × 3200 (20,480,000) pixels. The thumbnail generator has an apparent limit of 12.5m. Have any advice? Smithing-icon.png Illagong (talk) Ranged-icon.png 05:57, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

You can add a colon as the first character of the link, which will cause images and categories to become links instead of their usual behaviour. As for the the actual problem, I'm not sure why it does that, but I'll try to find out. Farming-icon.png Salix (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 07:17, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

Tooltips and categories[edit source]

I've checked Module:Infobox Item as thoroughly as I can without actually getting to test it (I'm not too keen on accidentally breaking Template:Infobox Item of all templates), and I can't for the life of me figure out why it doesn't seem to categorize items with tooltips into .
The tooltip parameter doesn't quite looks like any of the other parameter checks, but for each thing that it does differently there seems to be another parameter that does roughly the same thing (tradeable adds text using a function other than has_content, and AKA uses cat_map.defined when categorizing). Any ideas? -Hourglass (2011 Halloween event) detail.png I Am Me Talk III The Spark.png- 02:07, February 13, 2018 (UTC)

I've just created the category, it didn't exist yet, for the rest it looks like it should add that category to items if the parameter is not empty. Do you have an example of an item with a tooltip? Farming-icon.png Salix (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 10:34, February 13, 2018 (UTC)
I know Aegis blood essence, Amulet of fury, Coal bag, Deathtouch bracelet and Tirannwn quiver 4 for example. Probably a bunch of others too. -Hourglass (2011 Halloween event) detail.png I Am Me Talk III The Spark.png- 11:36, February 13, 2018 (UTC)
Should now work. There was a small bug in Module:Infobox - one_defined wasn't updated for non-switch infoboxes. It now is so the tooltip category now works (as will Category:Pages with AKA). Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 16:07, February 13, 2018 (UTC)
Pages in MediaWiki are categorized when they are saved. If a transcluded template (including any Lua module) is changed to categorize a page differently, every page that transcludes the template must be edited and re-saved for the new categorization to take effect. (Null edits work for this purpose. Also, bots are great at large numbers of null edits.) The existence of a page in the Category namespace is irrelevant. --Saftzie (talk) 20:04, February 13, 2018 (UTC)
True, pages can have categories that don't have a page yet. I didn't mean that it didn't work because the category didn't exist yet, but more of a note that it just wasn't created yet. :P Farming-icon.png Salix (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 20:42, February 13, 2018 (UTC)

Salix means that we use a script on the wiki that scales up images. It looks like this, and it's in MediaWiki:Common.js. I didn't make that so I don't know if that's the likely culprit, but it looks like it could be jayden 10:24, September 1, 2018 (UTC)

Image policy on new music album[edit source]

I don't quite understand the image policy and how it would relate to this so I need help to understand it so I know what to do, or not do. I was hoping to upload an image for the new music albums from Runescape. The problem is that the image is from Spotify, so I'm not sure if this falls under Spotify use or Runescape fair use policy? To help understand, this is the album cover for "The Orchestral Collection", but in jpg format. So am I able to use this in png format and label it fair use or what do I do?

Fairuza Skye (talk) 07:28, September 17, 2018 (UTC)

The image itself is unlikely to be owned by Spotify. Given what it's of, I'd say it came from Jagex in which case they own the copyright in which case fair use applies as it always does. cqm 07:58, 17 Sep 2018 (UTC) (UTC)

Ok, I've added the album image and learned how to link it for the 'RuneScape - Original Soundtrack Classics' page. So I'll do the same for the other albums. However, I have a problem with the image I showed for the Orchestral album, how do I rename the image to be `RuneScape - The Orchestral Collection'? It won't let me edit the destination name. Rotation template for Travelling Merchant[edit source]

I figured out the rotation for the Travelling Merchant's Shop. I've attempted to write the necessary code to be added to Module:Rotations, but (aside from the obvious permission issue) I'd rather not break such a Module and could use someone who's familiar with the LUA standards here to check and clean-up my code...

I'm also not certain about the offset in the following, it might be 80 instead of 79, but always using the current date make it annoying to test...

local currentEnumeration = p.rotation_days(40, #itemOrder, 79)

The code can be found on; it's too long (imo) to add to this page directly. Sorry about the atrocious formatting (there not being any at all ^^' ). 15:43, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

Fantastic work. I'll work on making this into a module right now. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 16:46, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure I'm all done with it now - I did some notable rewriting to cut down on the repeated strings then added a full front-end table and a way to see the future/past stocks. You can find the lua code at Module:Rotations/Merchant and the templates to use it at Template:Travelling Merchant and Template:Travelling Merchant future.
I'm not sure how long we should wait to see if the predictions are correct before full deployment, though. At least until next reset, more if you think it is necessary. Quest.png Gaz Lloyd 7:^]Events!99s 21:27, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

This has been deployed on Travelling Merchant's Shop and Travelling Merchant's Shop/Future. Thanks so much. jayden 00:27, 15 October 2018 (UTC)

Url Scheme Case Sensitivity[edit source]

The Urls require case sensitivity if navigating directly to the article. Navigating to Kudos to you will bring to a missing article page, but navigating to Kudos to You will bring to the correct page with information. I'm all for having the url's rewritten to match the casing of the title for the article but if possible just don't require it in the URL on first navigation.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 23:11, 21 October 2018.

Redirect case sensitive article names is something that is done manually and hasn't been done for a lot of the achievement names, so could take time until all the redirects are there. Talk to Kelsey 23:13, 21 October 2018 (UTC)

Drops Table and gemw[edit source]

So I was adding the new christmas tokens to unlock tokens page, and was using the Christmas_piñata_loot_bag_(2018) for the items available. After I decided to try to fix the Robin (item) GE price to properly update. I have just started editing coding so I was new to the DropsTable format. I believe I identified the problem as the Robin (item) being the actual item as the "drop" but the exchange page is written as the item is in GE which is "Robin". I tried to add some way for the iamge/item/link to stay as "Robin {item)" while have the GE Price come from the exchange page for "Robin" but I was unable to figure it out. So in the mean time I redid the entire table in a wikitable format, so I was able to plink the robin (item) while using Robin for the GE Price. Is there anyway to change this while using the Drops Table formet? EDIT: Well someone changed everything a got rid of the table with prices and all that. I get combining the 2018 page with the rest of the christmas pinata loots, but not sure why the prices were removed. Either way my question is still if you are able to change what the gemw checks for in a DropsTable format. For future reference. Thanks!  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Coincidal (talk) on 19:10, 1 December 2018‎ (UTC).

I don't believe you can according to the template's documentation, but generally the exchange page for an item should match the name, so you can move an exchange page in the future if the item name doesn't match. It seems the exchange page for the robin item has already been moved to Exchange:Robin (item) - Cuxrie (talk) 20:54, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

Having trouble displaying proper picture[edit source]

I've been having trouble updating File:Underground Pass.png. I updated the image, and it was working initially, but then I realized that I had accidentally left in an ugly white bar on the RHS. I reuploaded it with this error fixed, but then it showed the old version both on the file page and on the page Underground Pass. I then tried uploading the new version again, but it has continued to show the old file. On the file page itself, the new picture shows, but on Underground Pass and on Iban's Temple, where the file is being used, the old version still shows. I don't know how to fix this. Does anyone know what's going on?

--Peloreus (talk) 07:28, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

There are some issues with, I think it's caching, which makes old images show up for a while after they've been updated. Help with correcting discrepancies[edit source]

Hi, I was hoping if someone could help explain how to correct the red links occuring on the Shadow Dye page in regards to the augmented khopeshes and the augmented praesul weps?

Also another minor correction needed which I'm struggling to correct is the table on the Aura correctly lists the 3% Brawler aura buff as accuracy where the 5%,7% and 10% tables list them as hitchance buffs. Apologies for being pedantic but hitchance and accuracy are slightly different and I've tried to amend this to no avail. Would love if someone could take the time to explain how to correct these myself so I can improve as an editor too. Thanks!

Lebdestroyer (talk) 17:34, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

Regarding the issue on Shadow Dye (which also happened on the other dyes as well) was caused by the fact that the dyed augmented items from AoD as well as the Khopeshes did not have Category:Augmented items, which is transcluded by this template: for tier 92 main hands and for tier 92 off-hands. Because they did not have that category, they weren't excluded from the autogenerated list on the dye pages. After adding that template with the correct values to the dyed augmented items as well as purging the dye pages will fix this. I just fixed all of them though so now the dye pages are correct again. :)
As for the aura issue, on each individual aura page it has an infobox item (which all items have, although auras aren't item anymore, they are still technically items) as well an infobox aura which contains the description parameter which is shown on the aura page. Simply correcting the value of that parameter on each individual aura page and then purging the aura page will fix that issue. I've also fixed this one. =D
If you encounter an autogenerated list/table, you can check the DPL query's code and look for the template it calls, so for instance for the aura issue, you can see on aura that the DPL queries for each tier call the template Infobox aura. And the incorrect values on aura were the descriptions, so you can check the individual pages that use that template and correct the value there. I hope this explains it. =D Farming-icon.png Salix (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 19:04, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

Wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this, I'm sure I'll be returning to this reply in the future if I encounter similar issues.

Looking at the high alch calculator, there seems to be an issue when looking at the profit for weapons. It doesn't include price of weapon, just (high alch amount) - nature rune. That's a new one. The code paths look like they're browser related, so what browser and version of it are you using? Drop Source Issue[edit source]

Would anyone know how to correct drop sources listing small amounts of a certain item when there are actually more? using the Mort myre fungus as an example: Ravenous ghoul are a reasonable source of them but by trying to force an update of the list it does not seem correct to this issue? Even searching the exhaustive list does not list Ravenous ghouls as a source when I definitely know they are and their respective page accurately represents so.

Lebdestroyer (talk) 05:29, 3 March 2019 (UTC)

I noticed that the other drop sources of mort myre fungus use the DropsLine2 template. So I suspect it's part of a rework where the old DropsLine template is being slowly replaced and perhaps that's why the drops table template only uses the new one? I'll ask someone who's working on it. Farming-icon.png Salix (Talk) Prifddinas lodestone icon.png 10:46, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Drop table conversion bot post m/s rework?[edit source]

I'm finding some discrepancies with some drop tables for example the 'Rum'-pumped crab pre-rework dropped rune claws according to this revision 'Rum'-pumped crab which turned into Tiny spiky rune salvage but after spending some time there they don't drop tiny but actually the medium version instead? I've noticed this in a few other places (struggling to recall this very moment) and I'm just curious on inaccuracies because I've based a few updated pages on those individual salvage pages although done with good intentions may possibly mean my edits may be inaccurate based on those sources.

Lebdestroyer (talk) 08:07, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

Hey there! I took a look at the page, and it seems the DPL script automatically removes spells that are in the "Removed spells" category. So I added the following to the end of the page at Bounty Teleport and it fixed it:

- Sinister Clown Face chathead (male).png Tzar Talk 10:50, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
With the help of Ciphrius_Kane, I found out that there's actually a navigation box for removed spells, so the above category tag was removed from that page, and the navigation box for removed spells was added instead. The navigation box automatically adds the category to the page, apparently, so that still fixed your initial problem. :-) - Sinister Clown Face chathead (male).png Tzar Talk 11:08, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

What is Template:Salvage info?[edit source]

Used the random page function to find pages to edit and came across Large bladed orikalkum salvage. I wanted to edit the last paragraph on that article to improve its wording and flow, but the entire text is transcluded from Template:Salvage info. I see that all salvage articles have this same template for content. So I'm wondering what the exact purpose of this template is, why it's being used instead of free editable text, and how one can make changes if necessary? Editing this temp doesn't seem to be user friendly in both source and visual editor. Thanks, Zygomatt (talk) 01:18, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

That template invokes a Lua module called Module:Salvage info. As you can see on the page, it's a bunch of logic to determine what info to put on what salvage page. The reason we do this is because a majority of the information is the same across all salvage pages, and if we were to change one thing on one page, it would have to be changed on all pages. So we avoid duplication of text, but yes at the cost of free editable text.
If you want to improve the wording the final paragraph for orikalkum salvages, you can actually see the wording which goes in the final paragraph on the Module page (ctrl+f "orikalkum salvage" to see the exact spot). Feel free to improve the wording - and what's great is that the change will appear on all orikalkum salvage pages, not just large bladed. Tables Inside Tables (Weird, I Know)[edit source]

So I'm trying to update my completionism progress on my page and I have all of the 'sub'-requirements there but I want to be able to hide them - the problem is that when I add 'mw-collapsible' it makes the table a bunch of boxes with lines (that don't exist when I take 'mw-collapsible' out, I don't know how to fix this :(

I'm pretty sure it's possible to do because I found an example on the Wikipedia help page (second example) where they do it but theirs isn't inside another table so IDK

I'd like it to look like this but with the '[show]/[hide]' thing in the top right like normal

Is it User:Chee/Goals that you're referring to? If so, I think the borders are a result of having the "wikitable" class on the sub-table. Try adding "mw-collapsible" on its own (without adding "wikitable") - Rawny (talk) 21:52, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

Userboxes Cleanup?[edit source]

So, I don't know who's in charge of Userboxes but I noticed as I was going through them like a week ago that A LOT of them are either outdated or (sorry) ugly or mis-matched will skillcape god-alignment colors, etc.

Would it be okay for me to go and try to fix some of these? (I already did the World Event one below)

Warpriest of Saradomin helm chathead.png This user fought for Saradomin during the Battle of Lumbridge
Warpriest of Zamorak helm chathead.png This user fought for Zamorak during the Battle of Lumbridge
Warpriest of Armadyl helm chathead.png This user fought for Armadyl during the The bird and the beast.
Warpriest of Bandos helm chathead.png This user fought for Bandos during the The bird and the beast.

These boxes look kinda wonky having random colors (also I'm not sure what causes some boxes to be different sizes?):

Dungeoneering This user's favourite skill is Dungeoneering.
Slayer This user trains Slayer when bored.
Dungeoneering This user trains Dungeoneering when bored.
Dungeoneering.png This user believes that the Dungeoneering "skill" is a glorified minigame.

also, the RuneScore userbox seems kinda useless if the person has to keep updating it so I was wondering if I could either update this one or make a RuneScore2 Userbox that does this

just to show that it would still work (and the first one should periodically update for a while, I've been a little more active on RS3 recently):

RuneScore.png This user's RuneScore is 26,600.

Yes, I think bringing them up-to-date and improving the colours is fine. For the colours, it would be good if you could check that your new versions are readable in both light and dark mode. If you weren't already planning to, it's probably a good idea to try things out in a sub-page of your User page first (before saving changes to the actual templates).
As far as the sizes go, I'm not sure whether you're referring to the image sizes or the font sizes in the examples you've given. The image sizes vary because Template:Userbox/Favskill and Template:Userbox/Train both use another template called Template:Skill clickpic to produce the skill icon, whereas Template:Userbox/Dungeoneering joke uses - I think that Template:Userbox/Dungeoneering joke should probably use the Template:Skill clickpic too. For the font size, Template:Userbox/Favskill specifies info-s=8, which Template:Userbox turns into 8pt. Template:Userbox/Dungeoneering joke doesn't specify, so that uses the default in Template:Userbox (which is also 8pt). Template:Userbox/Train specifies info-s = 12px, however this becomes 12pxpt which isn't a valid font-size value, so the output is ignoring that and actually inheriting the font-size from surrounding page elements.
With Template:Userbox/RuneScore, making it update automatically sounds like a good idea to me. I would suggest updating the existing one rather than creating a duplicate, especially since it is not widely used. Feel free to ask if you need assistance with this. - Rawny (talk) 12:43, 21 July 2019 (UTC)
Aha, well trying to figure out how to make the name option was a chore and a half - so unfortunately I tried to make it to a default of your userpage name (lots of googling lmao) but it doesn't seem to want to do that, so rather than a name being optional it's required (ehhhh...) - but yeah, the box should update from now on with current RuneScore data :) Walk here Chee (skill: 2898)  Choose OptionFollow Chee (skill: 2898)Talk to Chee (skill: 2898)View Equipment Chee (skill: 2898)Req Assist Chee (skill: 2898)Examine Chee (skill: 2898)Cancel 07:06, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
I've modified the template so that if it's not given any parameters it'll grab the page name. If it is given a parameter, it will attempt to use it with Template:Hiscore, if that fails it will just output the value, e.g.:
Code Result
RuneScore.png This user's RuneScore is 123,456.
So, on User:Chee/Userboxes, will use "Chee" as the username. For your second account, you can use as before. - Rawny (talk) 23:30, 23 July 2019 (UTC)

Aligning Tables?[edit source]

Sorry to keep posting here but I'm pulling my hair out about this and it's really confusing to me (I have been working on this for HOURS every day lol)

So basically on my user page I made a table to get everything I wanted in place but there are some things I can't seem to fix
1: Image all the way to the left
2: Name+Title and Comp+MQC Progress in the center
3: Stats box to the right

the stat box is the only one that really bugs me bugs me but I'd like to get them all in place.

Another thing: whenever I '[Expand]' the MQC table it moves both the page and the image+stat box down to the MQC part for some reason, regardless of if I put 'align:top' or 'float:top' or 'valign:top' or 'vertical-align:top' and to be honest I have no idea the subtle distinction between all of those but none of them seem to work for me to keep the image+box at the top

Wiki wide metadata[edit source]

Is it possible to get a list/collection/overview for some info (title, release date, type of content like: monster, item, or location) on the articles on this wiki containing an infobox and a release date?

I'm looking for something that's computer friendly readable like JSON and would just like to inquire if this was possible to get without having to scrape the entire website.

It's essentially for a timeline view of monsters, items, locations, etc for the entire runescape history, and maybe something I could use for a program/app/website to display release data inbetween two dates. Sartheria (talk) 19:14, 12 August 2019 (UTC)

Hey, ther reason is that the fields are posisioned by css, and the background is also an image. To update it a new version of the blank interface image needs to be uploaded and then an admin will need to update the corresponding css so that the images are positioned properly. If you have photoshop skills you could download File:Worn equipment interface.png and remove the icons from the slots and then upload it to File:Worn equipment interface blank.png. Then you can ping me on my talk page User talk:Elessar2 and I'll update the corresponding css when I get a chance. Seers headband 2 chathead.png Elessar2 (talk) 12:08, 24 August 2019 (UTC)

Doing Math?[edit source]

So I've seen a few pages do this where they use this thing and I tried for like 6 hours last night to do that but nothing worked :(

I was hoping to get my Dungeoneering and Slayer experience as a percentage of the way to 120 but the page doesn't want to do math on its own so I tried using Number and NoCoins but those don't seem to work with the Progress bar thing (it always shows 100%) now I think about it I can probably use XoRMiAS' thing like I did for MQC and Comp reqs but I am still curious how to get the math thing to work lol, I just want a percentage really

edit: oh and what I managed to get so far is at User:Chee/Test if that helps?

Thanks :)

So is used to call a lua module (found in the module namescape) which then returns something. It you're just trying to do some simple math you can use the parser function. See Extension:ParserFunctions expr for details on how to use it and what you can use. So for something like you probably actually want
