Permissions[edit source]

This table details the permissions associated with each rank.

Permitted Denied Forced on Forced off

For reference:

  • The "island" is the entire citadel island.
  • The "citadel" is the area within the walls of the citadel, where all the skill plots are. The portal, battlefield and meeting tent are outside of the citadel; the square and keep are inside of the citadel.
  • The "keep" is the large central building in the citadel, with the senate meeting area, the private meeting rooms and the party room.
  • There are options to allow guests into the island, the citadel (hence island), the keep (hence island and citadel) or none of them. There are also options to ban individual members from each of them, as well as remove the ability of each rank to access them.

How to use permissions[edit source]

Recruit+: checking how many resources a clan member has gathered[edit source]

An example check

All clanmates can use the resource checker to check how many resource they or another clan member have gathered at the citadel over the current build tick. This can only be performed if the clanmate is on the same world as the checker.

To check resources click the arrow next to a clan member's name in the Clan interface (Clan chat button.png) and select the "check how much resource this clanmate has produced in the citadel since the last build tick" option (icon with coins).

Note that the interface may have rounding errors (resources are gathered to at least 2 decimal places, but are displayed as integers).

Recruit+: starting a battlefield battle[edit source]

  1. Enter the citadel.
  2. Go to the clan battlefield.
  3. Right click the battlemaster and select Initiate-battle.
  4. Change settings as required.
  5. Press confirm.

The battlefield can be used to boost a player's Agility and Summoning levels by 10. This boost may be used to open effigies. Clan members wishing to use this boost can do so by chosing the saved battlefield layout "A".

Corporal+: inviting a player to the clan[edit source]

All players are welcome to join the clan so long as:

  • They do not already have two other accounts in the clan.
  • They have been directed to the read the clan rules and information ("rs:cc on the wiki").

To invite a player to the clan:

  1. Hover over the Community tab (Community icon.png).
  2. Select the Clan chat button.png icon to open the Clan interface
  3. Click the Invite icon.png icon at the bottom left of the interface.
  4. Click on the player in the main game screen (like you are 'using' an item on them).
  5. They will then have to accept the invitation. A system message stating that the player has joined the clan will appear once they have accepted.

It's also nice to give them a warm welcome when they automatically enter the channel after being invited.

Admin+: kicking a guest[edit source]

Kicking a guest removes them from the clan chat and prevents them from rejoining for an hour. They may still enter the citadel unless added to the clan ban list.

There are several ways to kick a guest from the clan chat:

  • Right click their name in the clan chat side interface, and select Temp-ban <name>
  • Right click their name/a line of text said in the chat window and select Kick/ban <name>
  • In the Clan interface (Clan chat button.png), click the arrow next to their name and select the Temporarily kick & ban a guest option (icon of a yellow person with the red line through them).
  • In the lobby, right click their name/a line of text said in the chat window and select Kick/ban <name>

A message is automatically said by your character to the clan chat channel - [Attempting to kick/ban user from this channel.]

The kick/ban option will also be displayed for clan members, but attempting to kick a clan member as a sergeant will have no effect.

Admin+: editing the clan noticeboard[edit source]

Visit a clan noticeboard e.g. in the clan camp.

Admin+: editing the clan battlefield[edit source]

  1. Enter the citadel
  2. Go to the clan battlefield.
  3. Right click the battlemaster and select Edit-battlefield
  4. Use the editor to design your battlefield; you can load an existing one
  5. Choose a battlefield letter to save as (do not save over A - this is the effigy battlefield)

Admin+: kicking a clanmate[edit source]

Kicking a clanmate removes the player from the clan; the player may only rejoin the clan by being re-invited.

  1. Open the Clan interface (Clan chat button.png)
  2. Open Clan settings (Clan settings icon.png)
  3. Under the "Clanmates" tab of the window, find the name of the user in the list - use the rank filter to the top-right if required
  4. Click the arrow next to the user's name
  5. Click Kick
  6. Enter PIN if required
  7. Cick Yes on the confirmation screen

Admin+: banning a player from the clan[edit source]

Clan ban list.png

Banning a player prevents them from joining the clan chat or entering the clan citadel. Players cannot be banned from the clan if they are currently a member of the clan; if they are, first kick them from the clan (above section).

  1. Open the Clan interface (Clan chat button.png)
  2. Open the Clan ban list (red dot icon in bottom right corner of Clan interface)
  3. Click the orange icon with the + on it in the bottom-left corner ("Ban a player from the clan, so they cannot enter the chat until removed from this list")
  4. Type their name and press enter
  5. Add an entry to here

Admin+: unbanning a player from the clan[edit source]

  1. Open the Clan interface (Clan chat button.png)
  2. Clan ban list (red dot icon in bottom right corner of Clan interface)
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click the orange icon with the - on it in the bottom-left corner ("Remove a player from the clan ban list"), type the player's name and press enter
    • Find the player's name in the list, right click it, select Remove ban <name> and press enter
  4. Remove their entry from here

Admin+: changing the rank of a clanmate[edit source]

  1. Open the Clan interface (Clan chat button.png)
  2. Open Clan settings (Clan settings icon.png)
  3. Under the "Clanmates" tab of the window, find the name of the user in the list - use the rank filter to the top-right if required
  4. Click the arrow next to the user's name
  5. Click drop down menu next to Rank:
  6. Find and select the new rank for the user
  7. Click Save - a message is displayed in chat (Changes have been saved to clanmate.)

Admin+: changing a clanmate's clan job[edit source]

A clan job is mostly meaningless. It can only be viewed in the place that it can be changed.

  1. Open the Clan interface (Clan chat button.png)
  2. Open Clan settings (Clan settings icon.png)
  3. Under the "Clanmates" tab of the window, find the name of the user in the list - use the rank filter to the top-right if required
  4. Click the arrow next to the user's name
  5. Click the drop down menu next to Job:
  6. Find and click the new Job for the user
  7. Click Save - a message is displayed in chat (Changes have been saved to clanmate.)

Admin+: changing clan settings[edit source]

Clan settings, especially the clan motif, should not be changed without discussion. If you wish to change these then please start a discussion about on the Yew Grove.

Admin+: changing the permissions associated with a rank[edit source]

Permissions are changed via the permissions submenu of the clan settings interface. Generally these should not be changed without discussion, especially changes that affect a large number of clanmates. The citadel should always be left open to everyone.

Admin+: muting a clan member[edit source]

Clan members may be temporarily muted. All ranked admin+ clan members will be notified when a player has been muted.

  1. Open Clan settings (Clan settings icon.png)
  2. Click the arrow next to the user's name
  3. Tick the mute checkbox
