The Runescape Wiki clan RSW is holding a skilling event that takes place over the February 2017 Double XP Weekend. The Double XP Weekend will last from 12:00 game time on 17 February to 12:00 game time on 20 February 2017. Come join us for hosted portables, some challenge gem competitions, and dank gains with members of the community! A mini-hiscores tracking the XP gained by clan members will be tracked during this weekend as well.

Locations[edit source]

The two main locations will be in the Clan Citadel's Keep at the bank and/or Burthorpe bank in world 39. Guests are allowed to enter the citadel to utilise the portables as well. For clan members, Clan avatars will generally be present at the locations. When there are portables or challenge gems out, they will be announced in the RSW clan chat. When in doubt, ask someone.

Portables[edit source]

Portables are convenient, tradeable skilling hotspots that provide benefits some artisan skills. Each portable lasts for 5 minutes, and more can be added to make it last up to 60 minutes at a time. They're extremely useful for the experience bonuses they provide and the materials/time they save when training the relevant skills. Some portables may not be hosted all the time, so ask in the clan for the locations of the particular one you're looking for.

The list of possible hosted portables is below. Note that for all portables except for the sawmill, using them will provide 10% more experience per action. Also, they do not need to be interacted with for every inventory. Simply using it once and standing in that same spot (usually next to a bank) is sufficient to continue receiving benefits from the portable.

Challenge gem competitions[edit source]

Challenge gems are tradeable items used to start skilling or combat competitions. We'll host skilling competitions during this event, lasting from 5 to 30 minutes. They will be based on who gains the most experience in a particular chosen skill (total experience across all skills isn't an option). Participants will be given a challenge shard upon entering, and the top 10 peoples' scores will be shown. The players ranked 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will have these icons over their heads: Challenge gem rank 1.png, Challenge gem rank 2.png, Challenge gem rank 3.png.

Potential prizes[edit source]

Participating in, winning, and losing a certain number of challenges unlocks up to 7 different titles.
