Getting there[edit source]


When we all get to Trollheim, using our various methods mentioned above, as a group, we will run past the Thrower trolls to get to the snowy area with a large boulder blocking the path. Your stats will be quickly drained, along with your run energy - this is due to the snow falling.

We'll push past the boulder and run forward to the area with wolves and the Dying knight. You must speak to him the first time you enter the GWD. Drop or destroy the note he hands you (it is unnecessary), and use your rope on the GWD entrance, and down we go!

When you arrive inside the dungeon, head south east to the agility shortcut required to access Saradomin's Encampment.

Friends chat[edit source]

After we are sure the majority of attendees are present, We will determine if multiple friends chats are needed. If so, we will assign players with friends chats, or allow them to choose. Once you are in a friends chat, make sure you are on the correct world, and turn on lootshare using the small coin bag icon in the Friends Chat interface.

Note: Changing worlds will not reset your killcount, leaving the dungeon however, will.

Make sure you listen very carefully at the start of the event to help make it run as smoothly as possible and begin killing as soon as possible.

Latecomers: Wait to be assigned to a friends chat. If there is only one, of no one assigns you, just go with that one/choose one.

The fight[edit source]

Commander Zilyana attacks with Melee and Magic attacks, both of which hit at the speed of rapid throwing knives/darts, making her rather dangerous. However, both of these attacks are only used in melee range, which means that a sensible strategy for a team is for the person currently under direct attack to run from Zilyana rather than attempt to tank her attacks. After about ten seconds of not being able to reach her target, Zilyana will switch - watch for this and make sure you don't miss yourself becoming the next target.

The nature of Zilyana's attacks make armour choice simple - wearing high-defence melee armour will keep you safe against melee and ranged attacks, and praying against magic will completely nullify any magic attacks. Players not currently under direct attack by Zilyana will only take damage from the minions which, in such a setup, will be minimal


Should you die[edit source]

Death is usually fairly bothersome, but not on this trip. If you should die, your grave will be blessed immediately, giving you one hour to return and pick up your items. Obviously, any items you may be carrying that are not being protected by the gravestone will be lost, so plan what you will bring accordingly. Remember to bring everything you used to get to the GWD on the first trip as you will still need to make your way back to the GWD again.

Recommended setup[edit source]

This is simply a suggestion of what armour a melee user may want to bring. You are not obligated to wear anything on this list to the event.

The optimum set to use for Saradomin is strong melee armour with the Protect from Magic or Deflect Magic prayer.
