Hello everyone, I'm Oil4. I've been a member of the clan for over half a year now, and I've been with the wiki for over 5 years. I assume most of you know me, I'm active in the clan chat - on average I play for 4 or 5 hours a day.
Now you're probably wondering why I'm doing this RfET, considering they closed 2 months ago, so let me explain:
I did not originally do an RfET because I was expecting to have very little spare time this year. As I said before I currently play for 4-5 hours a day so I clearly expected wrong...
Since the closing of the RfETs 2 months ago we have had 3 events. The first one, Corp, went pretty well, but in my opinion the others did not: at the Fist of Guthix event we got crashed by a FOG clan who started harassing our own clan members. The Hide 'n' Seek was fun but it wasn't very well organised - there was a lot of confusion over who was hiding, what the hints were, etc. At one point the event FC had to be locked to stop people from asking questions. I've spoken to several clan members, including ET members, and everyone generally agrees that events need to be organised better.
That's where I come in - I think that with more people, the Events Team could accomplish more - more regular events, better organisation, etc. I'm fairly high leveled so I have access to most if not all content, so that shouldn't be a problem. I've helped organise events in other games before, I am familiar with the wiki and I have a lot of spare time.
Because of this, I think I would be a good addition to the Events Team - to help make our events go more smoothly, and make them even more enjoyable for everyone :-)
I therefore nominate myself to become a member of the Events Team.

Support - Even though more ET members doesn't directly translate to higher quality events, I can still see that the need for more ET members is there. Oil is almost always available when events usually take place, has the skillset needed to access much of the content that lends well to large group events, and--most importantly--seems to actually care about the events rather than going power-mad.

Support - Organizing events can't be easy, and I'm sure the current ET members are learning as they go. It wouldn't hurt to have an extra body to help out. Oil strikes me as someone who's up to the challenge. He's personable, knowledgable, approachable, and all sort of otherables.

- This^ - It was locked so it was easier to see what the clues were. Once people calmed down (after maybe 10 or so minutes) it was unlocked. I didnt think anyone really considered it a big deal. Megadog14Talk 03:08, November 23, 2013 (UTC)
