RuneScape:Clan Chat/Rank guide
This page contains more detailed information about the ranks in RSW, including details of the permissions associated with each rank, instructions on how to use these permissions and a list of current ranked users. For an overview of the ranking system and information about how ranks are given out in the clan see RS:CC.
Current ranks[edit source]
This is a list of clan members who are currently ranked organiser or above.
Eligible for rank[edit source]
This table lists the wiki usernames of individuals not currently ranked in the clan, but who are eligible to receive the stated rank without need for further discussion. This list excludes RuneScape Wiki administrators, who are eligible to claim the Coordinator rank at any time.
Rank | Wiki Name | Discussion |
---|---|---|
Exor Solieve | RfCCA | |
Flaysian | RfCCA |
Permissions[edit source]
This table details the permissions associated with each rank.
Permitted | Denied | Forced on | Forced off |
---|---|---|---|
For reference:
- The "island" is the entire citadel island.
- The "citadel" is the area within the walls of the citadel, where all the skill plots are. The portal, battlefield and meeting tent are outside of the citadel; the square and keep are inside of the citadel.
- The "keep" is the large central building in the citadel, with the senate meeting area, the private meeting rooms and the party room.
- There are options to allow guests into the island, the citadel (hence island), the keep (hence island and citadel) or none of them. There are also options to ban individual members from each of them, as well as remove the ability of each rank to access them.
How to use permissions[edit source]
Recruit+: checking how many resources a clan member has gathered[edit source]
All clanmates can use the resource checker to check how many resource they or another clan member have gathered at the citadel over the current build tick. This can only be performed if the clanmate is on the same world as the checker.
To check resources click the arrow next to a clan member's name in the Clan interface () and select the "check how much resource this clanmate has produced in the citadel since the last build tick" option (icon with coins).
Note that the interface may have rounding errors (resources are gathered to at least 2 decimal places, but are displayed as integers).
Recruit+: starting a battlefield battle[edit source]
- Enter the citadel.
- Go to the clan battlefield.
- Right click the battlemaster and select Initiate-battle.
- Change settings as required.
- Press confirm.
The battlefield can be used to boost a player's Agility and Summoning levels by 10. This boost may be used to open effigies. Clan members wishing to use this boost can do so by chosing the saved battlefield layout "A".
Corporal+: inviting a player to the clan[edit source]
All players are welcome to join the clan so long as:
- They do not already have two other accounts in the clan.
- They have been directed to the read the clan rules and information ("rs:cc on the wiki").
To invite a player to the clan:
- Hover over the Community tab (
).
- Select the
icon to open the Clan interface
- Click the
icon at the bottom left of the interface.
- Click on the player in the main game screen (like you are 'using' an item on them).
- They will then have to accept the invitation. A system message stating that the player has joined the clan will appear once they have accepted.
It's also nice to give them a warm welcome when they automatically enter the channel after being invited.
Admin+: kicking a guest[edit source]
Kicking a guest removes them from the clan chat and prevents them from rejoining for an hour. They may still enter the citadel unless added to the clan ban list.
There are several ways to kick a guest from the clan chat:
- Right click their name in the clan chat side interface, and select Temp-ban <name>
- Right click their name/a line of text said in the chat window and select Kick/ban <name>
- In the Clan interface (
), click the arrow next to their name and select the Temporarily kick & ban a guest option (icon of a yellow person with the red line through them).
- In the lobby, right click their name/a line of text said in the chat window and select Kick/ban <name>
A message is automatically said by your character to the clan chat channel - [Attempting to kick/ban user from this channel.]
The kick/ban option will also be displayed for clan members, but attempting to kick a clan member as a sergeant will have no effect.

Clan settings, especially the clan motif, should not be changed without discussion. If you wish to change these then please start a discussion about on the Yew Grove.
Admin+: changing the permissions associated with a rank[edit source]
Permissions are changed via the permissions submenu of the clan settings interface. Generally these should not be changed without discussion, especially changes that affect a large number of clanmates. The citadel should always be left open to everyone.
Admin+: muting a clan member[edit source]
Clan members may be temporarily muted. All ranked admin+ clan members will be notified when a player has been muted.
