The royal crown is a part of the royal set. It is worn for strictly decorative purposes. It can be looted from a kingly impling. The crown can be stored with the rest of the royal set in the armour case in the costume room of a player-owned house.

- In the first hour of release, this item appeared in the Grand Exchange on free worlds although this was quickly fixed.
- Originally, players believed it was rarer than other royal items; this was later proved to be false, and that all royal items had equal rarity.
