Reward casket (master) detail.png

A Reward casket (master) is received after completing the final clue scroll of a master clue scroll trail and contains the reward for the trail. It can also rarely be obtained from spotting an agent penguin in Penguin Hide and Seek. It is destroyed after being opened.

Sometimes players will receive a puzzle casket (master) in its place.

Update history[edit | edit source]

The update history project is a work-in-progress – not all updates to this topic may be covered below. See here for how to help out!
  • ninja 12 October 2020 (Update):
    • Scrolls and caskets obtained from various places will go directly to Charos' Clue Carrier, regardless of whether your Backpack is full.
    • Caskets can no longer be opened with fewer than nine combined free spaces in the Bank and Backpack.
    • Clues and caskets hidden in drawers, chests and cupboards will now be opened and searched in one action.
    • The message that appears to notify the player that their clue rewards have been sent to the Bank now has a delay in frequency.
    • Attempting to open clue caskets while resting will now play an error message and interrupt the resting animation to prevent the Reward interface from closing instantly.
  • patch 26 March 2018 (Update):
    • Ensured that all master clues, caskets and scrollboxes are blocked from disassembly.
  • hotfix 28 February 2018 (Update):
    • Duplicate stacks of treasure trail caskets now open as they should.
  • patch 26 February 2018 (Update):.
    • Reroll progress is now given on opening caskets, as before.
    • Reward caskets (not puzzle caskets) now also stack.
    • Drop options have been replaced with destroy options for all caskets, clue scrolls, challenge scrolls, scroll boxes, puzzle boxes and keys. Where applicable, the destroy message will indicate where to reclaim the item; however, in most cases the item cannot be reclaimed.
    • Treasure Trail caskets have new graphics, and are coloured to match their tier. Sealed clue scrolls also match this new colouring.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • On release, there was a bug where the casket would not disappear when the casket was opened. In order for the casket to not despawn, the player's inventory had to be set up in a specific way with a specific final clue step and challenge. This resulted in a flood of valuable items, and was quickly hotfixed after discovery. Players who abused the bug greatly were permanently banned, while those who used it less were given a temporary ban. The items brought in by this bug were manually removed from the live game, and players who bought the illegitimate items were refunded the price they paid for it.[2]
