Rare drop table
The rare drop table is a list of additional items that can be gained alongside other drops. Luck enhancers will affect the quality of loot obtained when receiving the reward.
When slaying monsters, some have a chance to access loot from the rare drop table in addition to loot from their own unique drop table. Unlike the a monster's standard drop table, the rare drop table is shared by many monsters including most Slayer monsters and bosses. Luck enhancers are taken into account when the mob is killed (for most monsters) and is not based on what is worn before the monster is killed. See below for a list of monsters that give access to the rare drop table.
By using a grace of the elves, the rare drop table can be accessed through skilling by looting Seren spirits. Luck enhancers are taken into account based on what is worn when the Seren spirit is looted rather than when it spawns.
Mechanics
When a creature is killed or a seren spirit is looted, the items it gives are chosen from a list of possible drops, which is different for each creature. This drop is chosen at random. Some items are more likely to be given than others. For the monsters that give access to the rare drop table, one of the "items" on their list of drops is actually a trigger that gives a second "roll" on another list of items: the rare drop table.
The rare drop table is actually a set of three tables, referred to as the Gem Table, the Rare Table, and the Super Rare Table. When a player accesses the rare drop table, the "dice" are thrown onto the Gem Table. The player may get an uncut gem, a half of a key, and other select items, or they may roll onto the Rare Table. The Rare Table has more valuable items, and a small chance to roll onto the third table, the Super Rare Table. This is the rarest table and offers the most valuable items such as Hazelmere's signet ring.[1] For all tables, the less valuable items are more likely to be chosen than the expensive ones.
Luck enhancers
Luck enhancers can affect chances to access the rare drop table, as well as improve loot obtained from the rare drop table.
Tier | Effect |
---|---|
1 | Increased chance to access the rare drop table |
2 | Increased chance to access the rare drop table and receive improved loot from it |
3 | Further increased chance to access the rare drop table and receive improved loot from it |
4 | Still further increased chance to access the rare drop table and receive improved loot from it, and the ability to receive the Vecna skull and Hazelmere's signet ring |
The Tier 2 luck enhancers have no influence on the rare drop table, although it will improve the odds of receiving a better gem should a player roll one [2].
Tables
The following is a list of items on the rare drop table.
Gem table
This is the first level of the tables, containing the least valuable rewards.

Rare table
The rare table is the second level of the rare drop table, containing drops of intermediate value. Monsters of 80+ combat and 50+ Slayer can access this table directly. Strykewyrms are an exception, as they can also roll the gem table.[3] With Tier 4 luck denominator changes from 64 to 52 as Molten glass, Raw lobster and Flax are removed from drop table.

Trivia
- Prior to 27 March 2017, drops from the rare drop table replaced the normal loot monsters dropped.[8]
- As of 3 December 2018 with the alchemical onyx update, the rare drop table can also be accessed through a seren spirit, which spawns when players train a gathering skill with the grace of the elves equipped. Any luck changing effects will also be taken into account when looting a seren spirit, meaning it is possible to get a hazelmere's signet ring from skilling.
