Portable deposit box detail.png

The portable deposit box was a fate cards reward from the Sizzling Summer promotional event. This item allows the player to place a deposit box almost anywhere in the game and will last for 1 hour. All unused portable deposit boxes from the original promotion were removed from the game on 1 January 2013 with the update Happy New Year!.

During the September 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Balthazar's Big Raffle event, portable deposit boxes could be won by entering the raffles on Tuesdays (2017, 2018, 2019), Thursdays (2015), or Fridays (2014).

Use[edit | edit source]

When placing a portable deposit, the player can choose if it can be used by anyone or just themselves. This option, as well as the location of the deposit box, cannot be changed after it has been placed. The box is placed on the tile the player is standing on.

If the player logs out or disconnects, the deposit box will stay in place on the world that the player is logged into. But if the player hops to another world, the deposit box will be removed permanently.

It allows players to quickly deposit a full inventory, making it superior to the pack yak for depositing items such as from a shop. Remote banking is also useful for fast resource gathering skills, allowing players to significantly increase experience gained per hour.

The Portable deposit box was the only choose your fate reward that worked in PvP situations such as the Wilderness or minigames which involve PvP combat.

Ironmen are unable to use these boxes.
