Enchanted pearl bolts are iron bolts tipped with enchanted Pearl bolt tips made from Oyster pearls. Pearl bolts can be enchanted into enchanted pearl bolts through the spell Enchant Crossbow Bolt (Pearl) by a player with 24 Magic. The spell enchants 10 pearl bolts at a time.
Enchanted pearl have a 5% chance to activate the Sea Curse enchantment. Upon activation the bolt deals 15% extra damage if the target is weak to water. Deals 15% less damage if the target is weak to fire. Stops target from running if used in PvP.
This effect can be triggered with auto attacks and abilities, with abilities consuming one bolt per activation. Multi-target abilities such as ricochet can trigger the effect separately on secondary targets. Abilities that hit multiple times such as rapid fire have a chance to trigger it on each hit separately.
Onslaught can trigger the effect, increasing that hit by 15%. The recoil damage is unaffected by the activation.
Sacrifice can trigger the effect and will heal accordingly to the increased damage.
The chance of the special attack occurring is increased to 7% upon the completion of the elite Seers' Village achievements.
The chance of the special attack occurring is increased to 6% with the Ranged cape perk, and a further 8.4% with both Seer's tasks and the skillcape.
