Optimal skilling perk setup
This page provides optimised skilling perks for maximising experience rates while skilling. Optimal perk combinations include the best perk ranks of Honed, Furnace, Enlightened, and Wise, keeping in mind that certain superior combinations are theoretically possible to create, but these are too rare and/or too expensive to be practically achievable for most, if not all, players.
The best version of many perks is only available when using ancient gizmos from Ancient Invention. The 'Ancient gizmos' blueprint (5,033,119 coins) or the untradeable version, 'Ancient gizmos' blueprint (untradeable), is required to make ancient gizmos.
For each tool perk setup here, an entry-level setup and an advanced setup are provided.
- Entry-level: These perk setups primarily use ancient gizmos, but some may use regular gizmos.
- Advanced: These perk setups exclusively use ancient gizmos in order to benefit from the highest available ranks of each perk.
The player has the highest probability of obtaining most perks and perk combinations at level 120 Invention when using an extreme invention potion. However, some perks and perk combinations are more easily created at levels below 120 (and without the potion). For these, the player may lower their Invention level by fighting goraks or, more easily, by standing in the icy, cold area before the entrance to the God Wars Dungeon.
Note: In the table below, each Probability link will load the appropriate materials, gizmo, Invention level, and Invention potion use into the perk calculator. The Gizmo 3 slot is refer to an offhand item slot with you can use any Off-hand weapons or shield from tier 70 or higher. There are some offhand weapons which have lower combat requirement such as the Enhanced Excalibur or an offhand rubber chicken.
