Off-hand dragon throwing axe detail.png

The off-hand dragon throwing axe, unlike constructible throwing axes, is a members-only Ranged throwing weapon. Because there are no off-hand versions of Superior Morrigan's throwing axe and Morrigan's throwing axe, it is the most powerful type of off-hand throwing axe. To wield an off-hand dragon throwing axe, players must have at least 60 Ranged and have completed Birthright of the Dwarves.

It is only dropped by chaos giants, a monster designed by players.[1] It is a fairly uncommon drop, alongside its main-hand variant. Like other dragon weapons, this weapon cannot be smithed by players. It may only be wielded after completion of the Birthright of the Dwarves quest.

This information has been compiled as part of the update history project. Some updates may not be included - see here for how to help out!
  • patch 8 October 2013 (Update):
    • Off-hand dragon throwing axes are now worth the same amount as their main-hand counterparts. As such, they are once again alchable and can be sold to a shop.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Off-hand dragon throwing axes' starting price (50,000 coins) and alchemy values were unusually high, when compared to those of its main hand variant. They were made temporarily non-alchable following this as a temporary fix, until they were adjusted to be the same price and alchemy values as the main hand axes on 8 October 2013.
