The Off-hand ascension crossbow is a crossbow requiring level 90 Ranged to wield. It has a main hand counterpart which is able to fire Ascension bolts, made with 90 Fletching. The parts to make an Off-hand ascension crossbow are dropped by legiones in the Monastery of Ascension.
The crossbow is made by taking one each of the six Ascension signets (Ascension signet I, II, III, IV, V, VI) along with a dragon crossbow and 100 ascension shards to Ocellus outside the monastery. After creating the main hand Ascension crossbow, 100 more ascension shards are required to convert it into an off-hand crossbow. It can be converted back to its main hand version for another 100 shards.
Assuming one obtained each signet on the 50th kill, it would cost, on average, 93,606,392 coins to create an Off-hand ascension crossbow.
It degrades in combat like drygore weaponry, having 60,000 charges (but loses 2 per hit, giving a minimum time of 5 hours of combat) until it must be repaired by Bob for 2,000,000 coins or a lower amount on your armour stand depending on your Smithing level.
Players on a budget may consider dual-wielding an Ascension crossbow with tier 88 off-hand Elite Death Lotus darts. When first attacking a target, the main hand weapon is used and thus its ammo is lost far more often than the off-hand ammo. This combination negates the high upfront cost of the Off-hand ascension crossbow and greatly reduces the loss of indirectly expensive/untradeable Elite Death Lotus darts while sacrificing a small amount of damage; you do not lose any accuracy due to it being based on your main-hand weapon only.

Repair cost[edit | edit source]
The Off-hand ascension crossbow at most, costs 2,000,000 coins to repair completely. The repair cost is precisely calculated by the degradation percentage (i.e. with 75% charge remaining, a full repair would only cost 500,000 coins). It may be repaired through a variety of methods.
With an NPC[edit source]
These less preferred methods cost more as they do not consider one's Smithing level for a repair discount.
- Bob - the axe seller in Lumbridge
- Tindel Marchant - the weapon and armour repairman at Port Khazard
- Dunstan - the smith in Burthorpe
- Squire - in the workshop area of the Void Knights' Outpost
Alternate methods[edit source]
These preferred methods provide a repair cost discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).
- An armour stand in a player-owned house
- A whetstone device which can be used anywhere
- The Item Repair ability on a legendary pet can be used once per hour

Creation[edit | edit source]
If players wish to create Ascension crossbows, assuming each signet is obtained on the 50th kill of each Legio, the cost is as follows:
|Boss||Key required||Cost for 50 keys|
|Legio Primus||Ascension Keystone Primus||30,453,450|
|Legio Secundus||Ascension Keystone Secundus||10,951,850|
|Legio Tertius||Ascension Keystone Tertius||11,641,350|
|Legio Quartus||Ascension Keystone Quartus||9,119,700|
|Legio Quintus||Ascension Keystone Quintus||9,245,050|
|Legio Sextus||Ascension Keystone Sextus||9,201,150|
|Total cost for main-hand crossbow||93,590,792|
|Profit for Ascension crossbow||72,931,983|
|Total cost for off-hand crossbow||93,606,392|
|Profit for Off-hand ascension crossbow||75,163,708|
|The above profit is calculated by combining the cost for 50 keys plus the cost of a dragon crossbow and 100 Ascension shards for the main-hand or 200 Ascension shards for the off-hand.|
