The barrows-dyed noxious scythe is made by dyeing a noxious scythe with Barrows dye. This process is irreversible, and the dyed version is untradeable. It has the same combat bonuses, special attack, and degradation/repair mechanics as the regular noxious scythe: it will degrade to a broken state after 60,000 charges of combat (but loses 2 per hit, giving a minimum time of 5 hours of combat) but can be repaired at Bob in Lumbridge, or at an armour stand.
Making a barrows-dyed noxious scythe costs 664,621,796 coins.

Repair cost[edit | edit source]
The Noxious scythe (Barrows) at most, costs 4,500,000 coins to repair completely. The repair cost is precisely calculated by the degradation percentage (i.e. with 75% charge remaining, a full repair would only cost 1,125,000 coins). It may be repaired through a variety of methods.
With an NPC[edit source]
These less preferred methods cost more as they do not consider one's Smithing level for a repair discount.
- Bob - the axe seller in Lumbridge
- Tindel Marchant - the weapon and armour repairman at Port Khazard
- Dunstan - the smith in Burthorpe
- Squire - in the workshop area of the Void Knights' Outpost
Alternate methods[edit source]
These preferred methods provide a repair cost discount of 0.5% per Smithing level (including boosts).
- An armour stand in a player-owned house
- A whetstone device which can be used anywhere
- The Item Repair ability on a legendary pet can be used once per hour

Special Attack[edit | edit source]
The Noxious scythe has a special attack named Mirrorback, which requires full adrenaline and will summon a mirrorback spider to aid the player. While active, the spider will reduce damage from attacks against the player by 50%, and reflect that damage to the attacker, but it will also be damaged for an equal amount. For instance, if the player is hit by an attack that deals 1000 damage, both the player and the spider take 500 damage, and the attacker receives 500 points of deflection damage. This will last for ten seconds or until the spider is killed. This special attack does not work against certain attacks, and also cannot deflect damage back to attackers that are immune to deflection damage.
