Nodon guards are level 92 Slayer creatures found at the Nodon Front in Senntisten.
When a Nodon enforcer appears occasionally after a Nodon engineer is killed, they can be accompanied by a variant of a guard named Henchman, Nodon guard. Henchmen are identical to the guards in stats and appearance, but cannot use the special attack.
Some Nodon guards occasionally attack Nex's praesul and K'ril Tsutsaroth, who quickly dispatch the guards.
Nodon guards attack using melee. After 6 auto-attacks they will use a special attack where they shout ARGHH!, leap into the air, and then slam back down. When this happens, the three tiles in front of them will be hit with a quake attack, dealing heavy damage and stunning the player if they're standing on one of those squares. To avoid it, players should sidestep the guard as soon as it shouts. Upon successfully dodging, the guard will say I think I may have dislocated a wing..., I think I may have dislodged a scale..., I think I may have disjointed my tail... or I think I may have dislocated something..., followed shortly after by No matter!.
Additionally, if their special attack is dodged, the guard will temporarily take double damage from most sources for the time it takes them to make two standard attacks. This double-damage also applies to any bleed effects dealt to them in that time-frame, so hitting them with a bleed ability as soon as they miss can deal significant additional damage. This also applies to K'ril Tsutsaroth's battlefield ability, which can be used to deal nearly half of their life points in a single hit.
Nodon Guards can be safespotted easily by mages who don't want to work too hard on killing them. The best safe spot is in the house at the bottom of the big staircase.
Please take notice that the guards are the only Nodon that can be safespotted.
