NPC Contact is a lunar spell that allows the caster to contact various non-player characters around RuneScape directly without having to go to them personally. As with all Lunar Spells, the quest Lunar Diplomacy must be completed to cast this spell.

	Turael	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from him. After While Guthix Sleeps, he is replaced by Spria.
	Mazchna	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from him. During While Guthix Sleeps, he is replaced by Achtryn. Once the quest is completed, Mazchna can once again be contacted with the use of this spell.
	Chaeldar	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from her. Players must have completed Lost City.
	Duradel	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from him. After While Guthix Sleeps, he is replaced by Lapalok.
	Sumona	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from her. Players must have completed Smoking Kills.
	Vannaka	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from him.
	Murphy	Fishing Trawler	Controls the Fishing Trawler minigame, and can tell you if anyone's playing.
	Cyrisus	Quest	Features in the Dream Mentor quest and will tell you about his adventures. He cannot be contacted after While Guthix Sleeps.
	Larry	Penguin Hide and Seek	Can be contacted after you ask him about Penguin Hide and Seek, a part of Distractions and Diversions. He can give the player hints on penguin locations through the spell. Larry is replaced by Chuck near the end of Hunt for Red Raktuber.
	Chuck	Penguin Hide and Seek	Can be contacted after Hunt for Red Raktuber. He can be asked about Penguin Hide and Seek. Like Larry he can also give the player hints on penguin locations through the spell. Chuck is Larry's replacement near the end of Hunt for Red Raktuber.
	Kuradal	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from her. If you contact her at a bad time, as one of the monsters tries to escape from the dungeon, she will quite abruptly terminate the conversation, requiring another set of runes to contact her again.
	Dark mage	Abyssal book and Runecrafting pouches repairs	Can be contacted after the completion of the Enter the Abyss miniquest. You can get him to repair your Runecrafting pouches and receive another Abyssal book from him.
	Pikkupstix	Familiarisation	Is the druid that runs the Taverley Summoning shop. You can ask him the current location of Pikkenmix for the Familiarisation Distraction and Diversion.
	Pauline Polaris	Livid Farm	Can be contacted once you have unlocked all the spells on Livid Farm. You can request for one of the wishes Pauline offers if you have enough points. See Livid Farm for more details.
	Oneiromancer	Lunar spells	She can be contacted to switch you from Lunar spells to the Standard spells if one has completed the Elite Fremennik Province Tasks.
	Eluned	Crystal teleport seed	She can be contacted to recharge a player's crystal teleport seed.
	Mieliki Tapio	Big Chinchompa	She can be contacted to tell the player of Nyriki Tapio's location and when he will appear there.
	Morvran	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from him. Players must have gained access to Prifddinas.
	Urluk	City Quests	Can inform of the location of City Quests in Menaphos.
	Laniakea	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from her. Players must have completed the introduction to Anachronia.
	Estate agent	Construction Contracts	Fastest way to obtain your next Construction Contract.
	Jacquelyn	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from her.
	Mandrith	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from him.
	Polletix	Garden of Kharid	Ask about the Garden of Kharid's daily seed.
	The Raptor	Slayer Master	Is one of the Slayer Masters, and you can obtain tasks from him.

Random NPCs

Random will contact any of 26 other NPCs around RuneScape, and appears not to be "random" in that it cycles through 26 different NPCs, most of which are just amusing. The spell may start going in order randomly or just jump around. Using Random requires completion of Dream Mentor. These NPCs are:

	Lumbridge Sage	The player calls him a bad boy and makes the Lumbridge Sage admit it, but he doesn't say what he has done.
	Wise Old Man	Wise Old Man will attack the player (not hurting them) and tell them to get out of his head.
	My Arm	The Player asks how the Goutweed is, OR he tells the voice in his head to go away.
	Hans	The player pretends to be a brave knight coming to "kill everyone in the vicinity of Lumbridge Castle."
	Evil Dave	The Player claims to be Zamorak.
	Clay Golem	The Clay Golem believes it has a perception mismatch.
	General Wartface	The Player contacts Wartface, and he gets into an argument with Bentnoze.
	Drunken Dwarf	He's drunk.
	Al Kharid Camel	The Player taps directly into the Camel's mind, removing language barriers.
	Sandwich lady	The Sandwich Lady does not want the Player that contacted her to ignore her.
	1337mage43	1337mage43 argues with the Player, while the Player contradicts.
	Osman	The Player makes fun of Osman, and he thinks he is hallucinating from sq'irks.
	Helpline Assistant	A typical call to the Lunar Communication Helpline, with extremely poor customer support.
	Father Urhney	Father Urhney believes the Player is Saradomin, asking for advice, then meditating on what it means.
	Blurberry	The Player prank calls him.
	Aris	Aris can tell the future, thus realising she will be contacted.
	Hakeem the Sandsweeper	He claims he is Hakeem the Sandsweeper, the best sandsweeper there is.
	Man	He says he's on the toilet.
	Party Pete	He says "Party" in every sentence. He tells the character it's a full time profession.
	Bob	He has a hairball.
	Captain Cain	He tells the Player to "Drop and give me twenty!"
	Homunculus	It claims that the Alchemists returned the other day. It turned them into animals. OR Nothing useful said.
	KGP Agent	It thinks that the voice in its head is an intruder. OR it talks in code.
	Lumbridge Cow	It pretends to not understand. Then, the cow tells the Player to leave it alone.
	Lumbridge Sheep	It does not seem to understand. It just "baa's".
	Zanik	You get to choose a path in her adventures.

Trivia

• If you stand right next to Murphy and contact him, he'll tell you that it's "so rude when you may as well just speak to him in person". There are similar responses when using NPC contact for most NPCs.
• When contacting Bert the player will tell him they are totally "'armless", this is a reference to the quest The Hand in the Sand.
• If you try and contact Chuck using this spell while up in your clan's citadel and claim your penguin points it will say "Your call has been disconnected." This may happen for other NPCs who you wish to claim things from.
• When casting the spell, the audio used sounds like tuning in an old radio, probably a humorous reference to the idea of 'tuning in' to the NPC.
• When talking to the camel, you ask him "How am I speaking to you without a Camulet?", even if you have not done Enakhra's Lament, so you would not yet know what a camulet is.
• After While Guthix Sleeps, attempting to contact Cyrisus used no runes and a message appeared that says "you take a moment to honour your fallen brethren, Cyrisus. Lucien will be made to pay." This no longer happens, and you cannot choose him at all. The reason for this change is unknown.
• The prank conversation with Blurberry is a reference to a Simpsons episode where Bart prank calls Moe in a similar manner.
• Romeo's line: "Shall I compare thee to some pineapple chunks?" is a reference to the first line in William Shakespeare's Sonnet 18: "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day.".
• Despite being able to talk to the cow, the camel and Bob the Cat without using their respective amulets, the sheep doesn't, or refuses to, speak common tongue.
• Zanik's battle with the undead Lumberjack is similar to the battle between the Black Knight and King Arthur in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
• Zanik's line "No zombie is safe from Zanik of the Dorgeshuun!" may be a reference to the popular Valve Software videogame Left 4 Dead, in which there is a line of graffiti scrawled on a wall which states "No zombie is safe from Chicago Ted".
• The conversation with Evil Dave alludes to the film Star Wars with the line "what is thy bidding, O master?" and to Lord of the Rings with the line "Build me an army worthy of Zamorak!".
• The conversation with Party Pete (the sentence: Relax! Don't do it) might be a reference to the song 'Relax' by Frankie Goes To Hollywood.
• After completing The Mighty Fall, Zanik won't be contacted anymore, no matter if the player killed her or spared her.
• After The Light Within, Islwyn replaces Eluned. He will recharge crystal seeds for players in her stead.
• If a player who has completed Plague's End uses the spell to talk to Morvran, he will say "You have no business in my head. My secrets are not for your eyes. Get out.", and then say "Too scared to seek me out in person, hmm? Well what is it?" He then lets the player ask for an assignment.
• The spell cannot be used within a Clan Citadel or PvP grounds.
