Mysterious meteorites can crash while skilling for users who have the "cosmic foresight" effect active on their account. Investigating a meteorite provides an amount of experience in a skill of choice equal to half the experience provided by a regular jack of trades aura's reward book, and yields a goebie relic. Only two mysterious meteorites will crash for a player per day. When the first meteor crashes, this message is shown: A mysterious object crashes nearby! The second one arrives with the message: A mysterious object crashes nearby, you feel like it'll be the last that strikes you today...

When the cosmic foresight effect is received, it is accompanied by the message: You have unlocked the Cosmic Foresight effect!

Players can also investigate meteorites that crashed for other players, for diminishing returns. Goebie relics cannot be obtained this way, but doing so will provide experience. The first two times provide the same amount of experience as investigating a meteorite crashed for the player themselves. The third time provides 50% of this experience, the fourth time 33%, the fifth time 25%, and the sixth and following times 20%. It is possible for multiple meteorites to spawn in close proximity to each other.

Investigating a meteorite a second time results in the message "You've already claimed all you can from this."

Ironmen accounts have access to the cosmic foresight effect, however, they can only claim from their own meteorites.
