Mud pie detail.png

A mud pie is an equipable item that can be worn in a player's main hand slot. Though the mud pie can be considered a ranged weapon it has limited uses due to it not being stackable and its very low damage output. It can be thrown at other players to decrease their run energy by 50% (this effect does not apply to NPCs). The mud pie can be obtained as a very rare drop from looting baby implings, an uncommon drop from looting gourmet implings, or made using the Cooking skill at level 29. Mud pies can't be eaten - attempting to do so will play the eating animation and cause the player to say Yuck!, but will not consume the pie.

Cooking[edit | edit source]

A mud pie can be made using compost (super compost will not work), clay, a bucket of water , a pot of flour, and a pie dish.

Mix the pot of flour with water or a water source to make pastry dough. Next, make a pie shell by using the pastry dough on a pie dish, then put the compost into the pie shell to make part mud pie (1). Now use the bucket of water on the part mud pie (1) to create part mud pie (2). Finally add the clay to make a raw mud pie.

After successfully cooking it on a range, or oven the player receives 128 Cooking experience. Players can accidentally burn the pie, creating a burnt pie, until they reach level 63 Cooking.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • After the Evolution of Combat update, players who wielded a mud pie would stand and walk in the same way as they did before the update. This was changed in the 13 April 2015 update.
  • An update on 26 February 2018 made it so that mud pies drop to the floor when used to attack an NPC. Previously mud pies were lost during combat.
