It's highly recommended that the player is at least level 94 Smithing to do this method since at level 92 you have a 10% chance of doubling a bar while smelting and at level 94 you smelt elder rune bars 50% faster. It's also highly recommended to use the Superheat form prayer while smelting, as this allows you to smelt bars 0.6 seconds faster. Grace of the elves is optional, but it halves the prayer point drain of Seren prayers, meaning you'll drink less Super prayer renewal doses.

Without Superheat form, at level 94 Smithing you will smith 2000 bars an hour.

With level 94 Smithing, Varrock elite and New Varrock hard achievements completed, wearing Modified Blacksmith's helmet and using Superheat form prayer, you'll smelt, on average, 3390 bars an hour.
