Snapdragon potion (unf) are used to create Super restores. Because these are often used to train Herblore, and adding Clean snapdragon to a Vial of water gives little experience, many players avoid the tedium of making unfinished potions and buy them directly from the Grand Exchange. This opens up an opportunity to make unfinished snapdragon potions for profit.

You can sometimes make money by just using clean snapdragon on a vial of water, but the real trick is using the scroll of cleansing. This Dungeoneering reward costs 20,000 tokens, and gives you a 10% chance of not using up a clean snapdragon when creating a snapdragon potion (unf). This means that, on average, you would only need 9 clean snapdragon and 10 vials of water to create 10 snapdragon potion (unf). Getting this scroll can take up to 10 hours depending on your Dungeoneering level and other skills, but it is absolutely worth it if you plan to make unfinished potions.

Before buying the ingredients in bulk, make sure that the method is profitable by making one unfinished potion and testing the profit. If the profit is high enough, buy clean snapdragon and vials of water in a 9:10 ratio; it may be worthwhile to put in an offer for clean snapdragon at a lower price, so they don't buy instantly but they steadily come in. Withdraw 14 snapdragon and 14 vials of water, and use one on the other. A menu will open, and click to make-all. After the inventory is complete, you should be left with 14 unfinished snapdragon potions and 2 herbs. Deposit your inventory, withdraw 14 herbs and 14 vials of water, and repeat. Each inventory should take about 23 seconds with banking, which means you can make around 2,000 potions per hour.

Portable wells are optional but because it has a 5% chance of generating an extra unfinished potion, it is also useful if shared with other players. 2,310 Snapdragon potions can be made on an average raising the money per hour to 2,144,780.

Once you've finished making your potions, sell them on the Grand Exchange. Maximise your profit by buying one unfinished potion instantly, and selling all of yours for slightly less than that.
