Getting there[edit | edit source]
Gregorovic is located in Sliske's Necropolis in the northeastern area of The Heart, which requires 80 Prayer to enter. To enter his chamber, players must kill 40 Sliskean monsters (20 if the player has obtained the 50% killcount reduction perk, requiring 4,500 Reputation). Players can easily gain killcount by visiting Sliske's Necropolis or by visiting nodes that Sliskean forces are attacking.
There are 4 efficient methods recommended to access the boss, they are as follows:
- Boss portal in the Max Guild which will place you beside the lobby entrance.
- Boss portal in War's retreat which will place you beside the lobby entrance.
- The Heart teleport which will put you in the centre of the GWD2 area. (Requires completion of the Tales of the God Wars miniquest.
- At least Desert amulet 2 as the Nardah teleport will place you relatively close to the entrance.

Equipment:
- A noxious scythe or Dragon Rider lance is absolutely required to solo as it allows you to attack Gregorovic without entering melee-distance.
- If you enter melee distance he deals constant melee damage and you'll die in a few seconds.
- A Vampyrism aura or Scrimshaw of vampyrism is also required to solo, otherwise you'll need too much food to make this practical.
- Tier-90 Masterwork equipment lasts forever once augmented and does not degrade (it still requires divine charges), and is thus recommended for camping this boss.
- Tier-92 Trimmed masterwork equipment can be used, but it has a higher upkeep cost (you'll need a full repair every ~100 hours).
- An amulet of souls is recommend over the Essence of Finality amulet because its upkeep cost is too high to justify for this activity.
- Since Gregorovic can be poisoned, it is best to use the Cinderbane gloves along with Weapon poison+++ to deal extra damage.
Inventory:
- The highest level overloads that you have, Enhanced Excalibur and Weapon poison+++.
- Portents of restoration automatically heal you if your life points drop below half, thus increasing your chances of surviving even if you are AFK.

Perks:
- The invention perks given below are optimal, however Venomblood and Enhanced Devoted 4 are absolutely essential to this fight:

Action bar[edit | edit source]
Use the following Revolution action bar which has high defensive and offensive capability. The defensives are absolutely essential in order to avoid the high damage that Gregorovic deals.
- To allow all the abilities to activate automatically, go to Settings > Gameplay > Combat > Combat Mode and set Revolution size to 12 or higher.
- Devotion provides complete immunity from ranged attacks for 10 seconds. (because you are praying against Ranged attacks)
- Debilitate reduces the damages that Gregorovic deals by 50% for 7 seconds.
- Berserk is not recommended as it increases the damage taken and thus increases the food you need per fight.
Strategy[edit | edit source]
The following steps detail how to kill Gregorovic in a semi-AFK (away from keyboard) manner.
- Tune a War's retreat boss portal to Gregorovic for fast travel
- Once inside the Gregorovic arena, turn off
Run mode so that you don't go within melee-distance of Gregorovic
- Use the
Deflect Missiles prayer along with
Turmoil or
Malevolence throughout the battle
- Every 5 minutes, drink your overloads and prayer renewal, active the Enhanced excalibur effect, and drink your Weapon poison+++
- Attack Gregorovic using the action bar given above
- Click away from Gregorovic if you enter melee-distance, otherwise you'll take constant melee damage and die in a few seconds
- Eat rapidly if you take damage, as you can die very quickly during the battle
- Don't bother about the Shadows that spawn, your area-of-effect abilities will eventually deal with them.

Equipment[edit | edit source]
It is advised to bring power armour when fighting Gregorovic, as his normal attacks are rather accurate even through Player-owned ports armour and Achto armour. His special attacks have 100% accuracy against any armour the player uses, which diminishes the use of tank armour. Be cautious when using damage-increasing methods such as the Reckless aura or Berserk ability.
Gregorovic's melee attacks can hit very hard, therefore it is recommended to use halberd type melee weapons such as the Noxious scythe or Dragon Rider lance to prevent taking melee damage.
Invention perks[edit | edit source]
Using good perks on augmented items through Invention and Ancient invention will greatly increase the damage dealt and thus increase overall profit per hour.
- To unlock Invention you need level 80 in Divination, Crafting, and Smithing, and for Ancient invention you need to purchase and read the 'Ancient gizmos' blueprint.
- For two-handed weapons, simply add both the weapon perks given below onto it.
- Click on the links in the Perk column to view the gizmo configuration required to create it.

Strategy[edit | edit source]
Gregorovic, like all the other generals in the Heart, has 200,000 life points. However, he is much stronger than the other generals, with highly damaging attacks that can easily hit over 2,000 per hit. To make up for his increased damage, his defence is significantly lower than the others, possessing a Defence level of 75 with 55 affinity towards all combat styles - he is also susceptible to the terrasaur maul.
During the fight, he can change his combat level anywhere from 1-999; however, this is only a visual change and does not actually affect his combat capabilities. It does, however, make him vulnerable to the effects of dominion mines should he change his combat level to 138 or lower.
Note: Dominion mines can trigger Gregorovic to summon the shadows in advance, although this generally poses no problem to the player.
Gregorovic is capable of poisoning the player in quick intervals with his attacks, though the poison only lasts for about 20 seconds. While antipoisons can be used, it is not recommended as he will quickly corrode it. Therefore, the Venomblood perk is recommended so that this does not become an issue when fighting him. Players who use bleeds on Gregorovic should lure him, as running under him causes unnecessary melee damage.
Gregorovic uses normal melee and Ranged attacks; he swings his glaives up close for melee and throws them with Ranged. Both styles do somewhat high damage compared to most of the generals apart from Vindicta. Soul Split should only be flicked throughout the whole fight. For distant fighters who are being targeted by Gregorovic, they should stand at least two squares away, as it provides an additional tick to flick the incoming attack. Gregorovic's attacks are fairly unique - if his attacks miss, two shields will appear instead of one, making it extremely easy to predict if his attacks hit or not. Players should still be careful not to mistake other shields which can apply on the same tick from shadows and aggressive spirits.
Gregorovic uses the following attack pattern:
- 3 auto-attacks
- Trick Knife (3x)
- 3 auto-attacks
- Summon spirit
- 3 auto-attacks
- Glaive throw
- Repeat
Before the fight starts, player(s) should move towards the north-western edge of the arena if ranging or maging, and set two mines nearby on a straight line from the middle of the arena. If meleeing, simply place the mines on his spawn point. This also includes the start of the instance. When Gregorovic spawns, he possesses an attack range of 8, although he will quickly move in to an attack range of 2 after two auto-attacks.
Three attacks after spawning, Gregorovic will ready his right arm and throw a trick knife at a player (or his target if they are the only ones). This will hit three times in total and will bounce between players, even if they are in the lobby area. It will also bounce on any spirits or shadows lingering in the arena. The attack has 100% accuracy regardless of the player(s)' armour rating and can deal up to 2,300 damage. The damage it is considered is varied based its bounce - if the player is within melee distance of Gregorovic, then the knife does melee damage. If both are in melee distance but the knife bounces to a distant shadow or spirit, then it deals ranged damage instead.
Three more attacks after the knife throw, Gregorovic will yell RISE, CHILD!, summoning a Spirit of rage, Spirit of delirium or Spirit of mania from the respective mask depending on which one he was closest to when he initiates this mechanic. The spirit only has 3,000 health, although they possess a combat level of 60, meaning that they can set off mines if they stumble into them. Should the spirit touch Gregorovic, they will say a quote before dying off as Gregorovic absorbs them. The spirit of rage increases his combat damage, the spirit of delirium increases his poison damage, and the spirit of mania increases his attack speed. If the spirit is successfully tagged, Gregorovic will not absorb it, even if it touches him.
After the spirit summon and three normal attacks, Gregorovic will toss both of his glaives into the air, with small shadows appearing throughout the arena. After two seconds, daggers and knives will fall from the ceiling and deal up to 1,700 magic damage onto the player if they did not move away from any shadowed spots. It's possible to flick this attack, though Gregorovic's auto-attack will register before this attack. Despite the visual 1x1 tile coverage, the attack actually covers a 2x2 range, with the east, south-east and southern tile from the shadow also being danger zones.
When Gregorovic reaches 140,000 and 60,000 life points, he will summon two and three shadows, respectively, onto the field. These shadows, just like the spirits, only have 3,000 life points, although they have a combat level of 1,000, meaning that dominion mines won't set off on them. The shadows use fairly weak ranged attacks and have an attack range of 2 tiles (much like Gregorovic himself after he spawns). Shadows can get stuck behind each other, although their low health and damage generally poses no problem at all, and they conveniently extend the duration of Devotion.
As Gregorovic is not immune to poison, players may consider bringing cinderbane gloves, weapon poison++, and kwuarm incense sticks to chip off more of his health.
