These animals are removed from the pen and replaced with an egg/child/sporeling at the adolescent age due to the quantity of beans received from selling each animal to it's individual npc buyer is highest at this age so players looking to buy animals to exchange for beans will be more likely to buy the best return on their own investment.
In order to reduce investment costs, players may choose to spend a little extra time at the Manor Farm on a populated and/or trade dedicated world and buy "checked" versions of first stage animals from other players for a much lower price than "(unchecked)" counterparts via the Grand Exchange. Keeping in mind that once checked, farm animals do not stack in the bank. Purchasing the storm barn and subsequent extensions allows for up to 60 checked animals to be stored outside of the bank.
When selling your adolescent livestock consider the unique qualities animals may carry (1, 2, or 3 trait slots filled? Individual traits in those slots? 'Shiny!'?) that can increase the value exponentially on the player to player market.
Players may also use the breeding pen to store 4 chinchompas to grow for produce, and can further improve profits by employing the breeding pen collector, which should grant approximately an additional 10 Carnivorous chinchompa (unchecked) per 42 hours, however this won't allow you to utilize the babysitter to keep animals in this pen at their adolescence stage.
Players may also wish to not feed their animals to save on food costs, sacrificing a large portion of farming experience gained.
Employing babysitters is recommended when raising livestock to the adolescent stage. This will prevent over growing animals accidentally due to delays and/or scheduling conflicts.
It is strongly recommended to check the live prices on the Grand Exchange before making large investments in any method.
