Not only do Ascendri bolts have a relatively high High Alchemy price, so many players use them to train Magic due to their high Grand Exchange limit, but they can be used to train the Fletching skill and maintain a profit.
Players with the Fletching cape perk have a chance at creating more bolts. Using the fletching cape adds roughly 100 x Ascendri bolts (2,275,000) per 10,000 bolts made. Using a portable fletcher saves some resources. A portable fletcher saves roughly 1000 x Ascension bolts (129,000) for every 10,000 tipped bolts, which are automatically sent to the bank. It is possible to avoid the cost of portable fletchers by using those placed by other players. The Lumbridge Market on world 84 is a popular location.
Slight profits can be gained by using High Alchemy.
To further increase profits, the ascendri bolts can be enchanted for magic training.
However, as with onyx gems, chiseling hydrix into hydrix bolt tips is not recommended, as players will lose a very large amount of money. A single hydrix costs 74,957,735 and the 36 bolt tips that can be cut from it are worth 967,356.
It is strongly recommended to check the live prices on the Grand Exchange before making large investments in any method.
