Barrows: Rise of the Six is the "hard mode" version of the original Barrows. To access their dungeon, a Barrows totem must be acquired; players can either buy from the Grand Exchange, or loot the original Barrows chest. The totems are fairly cheap, costing 1362 coins each; however, each totem lasts for one kill, and is not refunded upon death. Only one player needs to have totems on hand to create an instance.
To defeat the brothers, all six must be simultaneously defeated at once. Each brother has 50,000 life points. Then, upon looting the chest, the player must escape to stabilise the unstable energy; dying or lobbying will cause this energy to disappear. The majority of the profits will come from the energies themselves, although other notable drops include onyx bolts (e), inert adrenaline crystals, huge plated rune salvages and raw rocktails.
With experienced teams, it's possible to loot in excess of 35 chests an hour, as kills can be achieved within 20 seconds or less when prioritising AoE damage with damage boosts and mechanised chinchompas. The best rotation for more kills per hour at Barrows: Rise of the Six is when Karil is on west with any two melee brothers and Ahrim is east with any two melee brothers this is because with such a rotation, east will utilise what people call the door method which will stack Ahrim and the two melee brothers so you can utilise mechanised chinchompas and west will start the kill and usually all people will use mechanised chinchompas whilst sometimes utilising a melee incite on the Karil side to kill Karil with high burst before he uses a special attack which would prolong kills. Magic and Melee should only be used by experienced players. Melee should not be used on a side with Ahrim there. Though the kills are incredibly fast compared to other bosses, the most time-consuming part is navigating the tunnels, as it takes 25 seconds on average for a team of four to successfully escape the tunnel, or longer if all four randomised middle segments are bridges with a poor layout. When you need to rebank, inform your team; if possible, try to arrange specific banking times, so everyone returns with full supplies.
Though undead, they are unaffected by the Salve amulet; however, both the Undead Slayer perk and ability allows players to deal 22% additional damage for 15 seconds, or 7% when the ability is on cooldown.
