The mighty banshee is a stronger version of the Banshee and is first encountered in the quest Smoking Kills. They are found in the Pollnivneach Slayer Dungeon. Masked earmuffs, a Slayer helmet, a Full slayer helmet, a Mask of Mourning or a Helm of Keening must be worn to prevent stats from being dangerously reduced in addition to successive damage by the swirling dust. They attack with a long-ranged attack in melee style, so they cannot be safespotted.

- Slayer Masters are now able to assign banshee tasks to players wearing the Mask of Mourning.

ninja 26 October 2020 (Update):
- Monsters with multiple variants will now consistently spawn as those variants when newly placed in the Personal Slayer Dungeon.
  - This includes banshees.

patch 14 January 2013 (Update):
- Mighty banshees now deal an appropriate amount of damage.
