The manifest shadow core is a remnant of Manifest shadows. It can be obtained by killing manifest shadows, pickpocketing from Amlodd workers, or as a possible reward from Light Creatures on the Hefin Agility Course. It can be used with 91 Divination on the Light rift in the centre of the area for 650 experience in the Divination skill. It has a chance at giving a Light core, which is used to create the summoning familiar Light creature.

Saving these for DXP can be a very effective way to train divination. Using magic notepaper to collect them yields a cost of 0.94 per experience point.

Depositing 15 of these cores into the Light rift is part of the I'm Forever Washing Shadows achievement.
