Lumbridge guardsmen are members of the Lumbridge Guard fighting goblins at the east end of the bridge over the River Lum. As their health does not replenish, they can eventually get killed by the goblins but respawn shortly after. Depending on the player's participation in the Battle of Lumbridge, they have different dialogue available to different players.

Originally named Lumbridge guard, they were found all over Lumbridge and claimed to protect the town from goblins. One could be found among the goblins east of the River Lum.

On 15 August 2016 they were graphically updated to use iron equipment and moved to the bridge. Depending on the player they could be replaced by Elite Lumbridge guardsman who used rune equipment instead of iron and had different dialogue and examine, but the same combat level. On 13 September 2021 all guards in Lumbridge received graphical updates and their names were unified. As a result the guards on the bridge were renamed to Lumbridge guardsmen and updated to use Lumbridge Guard outfits and rune swords for all players. However the dialogue of the elite variants remained available to the players who could previously access it.
