This article has a quick guide.
Quick guides provide a brief summary of the steps needed for completion.

The Lumbridge achievements are a group of Area Tasks subcategories relating to the Lumbridge and Draynor Village area. These subcategories are: Beginner Lumbridge, Easy Lumbridge, Medium Lumbridge, and Hard Lumbridge.

Unlike the other sets of the Area Tasks achievement subcategories, this set has a beginner difficulty instead of the elite difficulty; beginner, easy, medium, and hard. It is the only set of Area Tasks subcategories that free-to-play players can fully complete.

The NPCs for the beginner, easy, medium, and hard subcategories are indicated by a Task map icon.png icon on the minimap and the world map. These are Explorer Jack in the house just west of the general store in Lumbridge and Bob the smith in his shop in Lumbridge for the beginner and easy achievements, respectively, and Ned in his house in Draynor Village for the medium and hard achievements.

The rewards for this set of subcategories include the explorer's ring and experience lamps giving a total of 12,000 experience in skills. A player must obtain each explorer's ring in ordinal order (e.g. medium achievements must be completed before the reward for hard achievements is available).

If the ring is lost, it can be retrieved from the NPC who gave the player the ring; Explorer Jack for the explorer's ring 1, Bob the smith for the explorer's ring 2, and Ned for the explorer's ring 3 and 4.

This set of achievement subcategories is required for the Task Master achievement of the completionist cape.

Completing all achievements in this set of subcategories gives a total of 440 RuneScore.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Introductory tasks made up part of the RuneScape tutorial and path system, and were listed as part of the Lumbridge achievement system. However they were not part of the achievement set and did not need to be completed to claim the explorer's ring. They were removed with the achievements system update of 18 April 2017.
  • The achievement set only went up to medium upon release because "Lumbridge is, after all, a beginner's town." The Hard achievements were later added in September 2010.
  • After the RuneScape High Detail update, players could see the green star in Bob's Brilliant Axes, and near Ned's cabin in Draynor Village. This was later removed by Jagex as they had not released the Lumbridge achievement set yet. After the full release of Runescape HD, the two green stars reappeared again at Bob's Brilliant Axes and Ned's cabin.
  • The Beginner achievement list used to say to create the soft clay and pot in the Barbarian Village, since there was no potter's wheel in Draynor Village at the time of the update. However, when a potter's wheel and clay oven was added to Draynor Village, the achievement was changed so it would fit the area the achievements were supposed to be done in.
  • The jingle for when you finish a achievement set is a small section of "Flute Salad" a song that used to play in Lumbridge.
  • Some players were able to use the third ring's teleport option to bring boxing gloves and other items only usable within a player-owned house, like tea, outside of their house. The glitch could also be used to smuggle Karamjan rum off of Musa Point. This glitch has since been fixed.
  • When the hard achievements were released, the explorer's rings did not produce extra air, water, earth, or fire runes while runecrafting. This glitch has been fixed.
