Lumbridge Strikes Back

Lumbridge Strikes Back is an achievement that requires the player to defeat all phases of Araxxor and Araxxi while wearing bronze armour in the head, torso, and leg slots and a bronze main-hand weapon. The player is disqualified from the achievement if they unequip any bronze equipment or the weapon during the fight. This can only be completed in solo mode.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

This achievement must be completed in a private instance. It is strongly recommended to fight Araxxor at 0% base enrage and while the acid and darkness paths are open. It is also recommended to use Ranged for this achievement, as meleeing Araxxi without a halberd is very dangerous due to her unpredictable melee and magic attacks. As the achievement only requires a main-hand bronze weapon, dual-wielding is highly encouraged.

Like during a standard kill, the player should cycle between the Anticipation and Freedom defensive abilities to avoid special attacks. Players should proceed through the darkness path to reduce the amount of damage that needs to be dealt to Araxxor. Use the Onslaught ultimate ability after a special attack from Araxxor, which has increased hit chance due to being an ultimate ability. Phase 4 is about staying calm and focusing on your deflect curse switching to minimise the damage taken, while also avoiding the core in the final 25,000 life points.

A berserk aura and a scrimshaw or a god book are highly recommended to improve hit chance and damage due to the abysmal accuracy and damage of bronze weaponry. A defender or repriser may be used for an additional +3% accuracy and damage boost and also for providing access to defensive abilities for survivability during the lengthy and dangerous fight.

Placing an elder spider in both medium pens at the Player-owned Farm with a Farm totem will give 3% increased damage against Araxxor and Araxxi.

Having one or more of Morvran's challenge enhancers active can resurrect the player on the spot with full health if they die as many times as they have active charges. The player does not have to be on Morvran's special slayer task to receive this benefit.

If using melee Armour spikes or Armour spikes (alloy) can be used to deal additional damage, their damage can be slightly further increased for each hit by boosting the player's Smithing level with the God banner, which reapplies a +2 Smithing boost for 30 minutes.

If using ranged, it may be beneficial to use diamond bakriminel bolts (e) or ruby bakriminel bolts (e) for increased accuracy and damage respectively.
